Excellent instruction with two different jovial Thai Instructors with great knowledge to share. The setting is conducive to being in a comfortable place while learning. Had been cooking Thai cuisine prior to classes with issues. Now I'm confident and eager to learn more soon. It's a very pleasant experience.

I went to this cookery school with my husband and two children (aged 12 and 10). The venue was down a side street and was in a three storey building. Our instructor was really interesting, funny, informative and very encouraging to our two children. The three hours flew by and the whole set up was brilliantly run. We prepared each... More

From start to finish this was one of my favorite experiences of my trip to Thailand. Getting to experience the market was incredible and informative. The school was quaint, clean, well organized and absolutely amazing. The food was some of the best I had while in Thailand and made for a great experience! Highly recommend this!!

We spent time in a nearby market learning about different produce used in Thai cooking. We headed over to the school. Our instructor took us through making soup, pad thai, red and green curry. We finished off with mango and sticky rice. It was a lot of fun and the food was amazing.

I cannot recommend this class enough. I attended this class with my sister and her son who is 14. It was a WONDERFUL class. It was very easy to find our group at the BTS station. From there we did a market tour and learned all about proteins and Thai veggies. We walked down a small alley of shop houses... More

My boyfriend and I had so much fun and our instructor Oat was hilarious. We learned so much about thai food and even the thai culture. The meal was easy to make and not intimidating. The kitchen and eating area, though not modern, feel very clean. Highly recommend to anyone who is here for visit.

Very interesting cooking class. Jay, the chef, is a super nice guy and gives also fun to the class. We prepared 4 dishes and got recipes for much more. I will try to re-make Pad Thai at home...

The format of the cooking class involved visiting the market and then cooking five dishes. I'd previously attended a similar cooking class in Cambodia, but Silom Thai's class was a lot more fun and interactive in comparison. Classes are very well organised, and everyone gets a chance to cook on their own hob. Our teacher Kung had a really good... More

Attended a cooking class on our first night in Bangkok - what a great experience! Firstly, the class was booked on line and we were provided with very clear instructions on how to get to the location. In addition, it is well sign-posted once you are dropped off by your taxi. This is the best cooking class I have attended... More

First, the tutor will have a walk with you at the market, each of us was given a basket to carry the vegetables we need for the class. She explained to us different kind of vegetable which gives taste and flavor to our food. She is very experienced. We then walk back to our classroom together with other students, the... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
