My husband and I signed up for this course because we had one additional day over in Bangkok before we flew out. It turned out to be th BEST decision ever, and we would recommend doing this course even if you have just one day in Bangkok. Silom is an extremely professional school. They arrange every detail to perfection. After... More

In the heat of the afternoon, what better way to spend the afternoon learning something new? You meet at the market and understand the herbs and spices of Thai cooking, then jump on a tut tut to the cooking school in the heart of "real life" Bangkok. Ju, our teacher was fun and factual. We were soon cooking up delicious... More

We attended two classes - back-to-back two days in a row. The first was conducted by Joo. The first experience was really the best. She's a jovial, friendly, fun and full of energy. Speaks good English and she's a good teacher. Good job JOO! The second class was conducted by someone else. Forgot her name. She was good too but... More

Amazing set up with high qualified stuff made so simple a very hard job, explain all the basic ingredients of Thai food and the bases for our future Thai food recipes. The place was beauty, clean and friendly and everything happens just as scheduled without waiting or lost timings. I will do again next year.

Instead I liked it. I want to say thank you for a very amusing course. I loved our teacher, Jay, he beautifully presented all the food and had some great hints and tips along the way. The market tour was also good. My big hesitation is - I just didn't love the food. I've done other classes in Thai cooking... More

We had so much fun at the Silom Thai Cooking School. The teacher, Jay, was great! Jay knew everything about cooking Thai food and he had a beautiful personality! I am so glad that we went to the cooking school. The food we made was so good and it was very informative.

The cooking class was a great way to learn how to cook authentic Thai cuisine and have dinner at the same time. Our chef Oat was very funny and made the class a pleasure. The herbs and spices were explained well and the steps were easy to follow, so easy that there was a 10 and 12 year old in... More

Highly recommended by the hotel. Easy going and fun cooking class. Met on the street for convenient walk to the market to learn about the ingredients being used. Walked back to the school and started cooking 4 dishes. Fun, easy, educational must do activity in Bangkok. Our group instructor JU was very knowledgeable, energetic and funny. Inexpensive when compared with... More

We did this course this morning and loved every minute. We cooked hot and sour prawn soup, pad Thai and green curry. We also rolled some summer rolls and had mango and sticky rice at the end. Everything turned out really well because the instruction was very clear and the ingredients (which we picked picked up after first meeting up... More

Our friends told us it was worth to give it a try. They were totally right! We enjoyed so much learning a bit of Thai culture. The staff was kind and chef Jay was terrific! 😄

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
