About
With over 2,000 shops, Platinum Shopping Mall is one of Bangkok’s largest wholesale shopping centers. However, you still can shop for retail items, so travelers can come here to trawl the seven stories in search of clothes, cosmetics, shoes, and accessories. Here, the more pieces you buy, the cheaper they get, and you can even practice your bargaining skills. Do your measurements in advance, or bring a measuring tape, as you're not able to try on the clothes at most shops. When hungry, refuel at the food court that has a good variety of authentic yet inexpensive food. For a more peaceful shopping experience, visit before noon and on weekdays. – Tripadvisor

    Fair Price large selection
typical type of fashion mall but many flours of women, men and children's clothes. All accessories, luggage, and such are also in here. Fair prices ... shop around .. generally fixed prices but many willing to bargain a little. Shop around before you buy .... same stuff can be found cheaper sometimes. two sides to mall one is beauty and cNdy generally, the other clothes etc. decent street food outside and nearby

Some good buys, worth going to
Some great gems in a big Centre full of rubbish!! If you are an experienced shopper, start on Level 5 and quickly work your way around each floor. Very reasonable prices. Air conditioned. Shop keepers not overly pushy. We did the whole place in under 2 hours. Big tip!!! Do not finish at 5pm like we did and find yourself in a peak hour that has us gridlocked in taxi for 1hr 15min. Go early and leave before the late afternoon rush.

Maze of shops and good food court
Good number of shops with good deals but very hard to haggle. Good selection of halal food in the food court and enjoyed the halal food shops that have set up space outside of the mall, although with touristy spaces. The mall has a connecting elevated walk to other malls and also BTS.

Try the basement for true wholesale outlets
Platinum is a huge Warren of fashion outlets. On 5 or so floors, opposite to where Pratunam Market was. Developers make a fortune rent income. The 1,000 little shops barely make enough.

    Heaven for shopping!
Its a heaven for everyday clothes shopping with innumerable no. of shops across floors, one must keep aside one full day for it. Most of the shops are fixed price shops, though some end up offering some discount, so there is no harm in asking. The biggest disadvantage is one cant try clothes before buying (again some shopkeepers make an exception). An easy solution is to pay for one item, try and then take multiple pieces (if one intend to). Important to buy from the shop you like the stuff at, impossible to come back and buy later.

    Best value shopping in Bangkok
If you are going value shopping in Bangkok, this is the place with the best deals. Hands down. It is a bit like an outlet store, but on steroids. The quality of the goods is mixed, but it's where we do all of our low-cost, disposable clothing expeditions. They don't take credit cards, so bring cash. The prices are really good and the selection is huge. Plan to spend at least 3 hours!

Heaps of shops All Close Together
Just across the road from the Krungthong Plaza this precinct is stacked with cloth shops for both men and women. Easy access by escalators and a little more room to move than the Krungthong Plaza. Still a lot of similarities between the shops which means one can drive a hard bargain while enjoying yourself in the process. Have to take this slowly because the stores are all very close to each other with many small lanes to choose from. A good experience if you are size XL and below!!! There is a walkway to CentralWorld and the Siam Paragon which are your more western type shopping complexes. Still a must visit to get a feel for what is available across the shopping spectrum!!!

This Mall is huge. Lots to see and lots of selections. Some of the stores have basically the same price so check around before you buy. Great shopping area across the street from here also. Really great prices

    A shopping paradise
With over 2000 independent stores dealing in men’s women’s and children’s clothing, as well as a variety of accessories and luggage, selling retail as well as wholesale, the Platinum department store is a shopper’s paradise. Shopping here is like shopping at the local market but you get to escape the heat of the city. Clothes here are very cheap, with the selection of stores being so immense that you could visit for days and not make it through the whole building. If you have a child with you, the 5th floor in the mall is stocked with a large amount of stores dealing only in kids clothes and accessories. There are also various street food stalls just outside this mall, and a food court inside, perfect for grabbing something to eat and taking a break. If clothes do not interest you, Pantip plaza is a mall dedicated only to electronics and is just a 5 minute walk away. The more you buy at a store, the cheaper the prices of all the goods you buy. Bargaining here is also acceptable and expected. Platinum is open from 9am to 8pm, and it is best to get there early when it is less crowded, perhaps on a weekday. The weekends are much busier, as this is a local favorite as well as a tourist hot spot. Platinum is literally across the road from our hotel, and there are designated crossing zones a few minutes away.

    Shopping
A huge mall full of clothes, accessories, souvenirs, luggage. Most arent available to bargain, but they do have a lower price if you buy at least 3. Toilets on every floor are clean. They have a food court upstairs. Most of the clothes/accessory shops dont accept credit card.

I visited this mall several years ago and didn't rate it well because of the poor quality of the goods on sale. I went again in january of this year and I think there's been major improvements in the variety of boutiques and the quality. There are still many shops selling polyester clothes very cheaply. They look nice on the hangers but on close inspection the stitching is wonky and loose. But there are also quite a few local businesses selling quirky good quality items you will not find anywhere else . Not in mbk, not in chatuchak. The 4th floor has a few very cool teeshirt printing businesses with individual designs. I recommend 2 visits starting around 11 am in the middle of the week and a systematic approach to walking the alleys. Do half the floors one day and come back for more another. The main reason for this is that the weekends and afternoons the place is heaving and you'll get frustrated. They are toilets and atms on all floors. Stay away from the shops selling tempting fake designer ready to wear. It's all sweaty polyester and very poorly made in china. There are much nicer places to spend your bahts in if you take time to look.

Visiting the mall since the last time I was here . There have been many changes . But I have to say it’s either a comfort to see Bangkok is being proactive in having screening measures to prevent any infection in the wake of the virus that is in every ones mind . Once that being done the mall was again a good place to visit & did some good shopping.

Paragon mall is very popular for shopping inexpensive clothes, bags and accessories. You can always ask for discount so don't settle on what is written on the placards of every shop. You can find the same items in other shops and they can be cheaper so it's also advisable to look around first before you buy.

The hours of this place can't be trusted. I tried to go a few times while visiting and they were not open when the hours stated they should be.

Gave it one last try and when I walked in, it was super crowded and feels like a very congested flea market. I almost immediately walked out because it was very overwhelming. Luckily, I decided to walk a little deeper in to see what I might find and there are certain floors and areas that were less crowded and then I was able to get a better feel for what the place is all about.

There are tons of vendors and its considered wholesale where they will give you a slightly better price if you purchase 3 or more of the same item. You can find pretty much everything here. I ended up finding a few fun purchases to take home with me including some nice embroidered scarves, a wallet and some patches.

Worth wading through to see all the items available. Each floor has a different theme so you can find the floor with the items you want, e.g. women's fashion vs. accessories, etc.

Spanning 7 floors in its own building, Platinum fashion mall offers a huge array of small stalls selling various styles of fashionable clothing to suite any budget. Costs are cheap and while in previous years you could bargain, it’s less common now post covid. The clothing is mainly targeting women but there are things for all ages from young to older including shoes and coats and skirts t-shirts and blouses and everything in between. It does get very busy and closes early at around 8:00pm. Something for everyone here and connected to the sky walk that runs to the front of Central wOrld. For those traveling in from overseas there are good rate money changers just across the road auch as Superich, allowing you to transfer money and prepare for more shopping.

Yesterday, my partner and I visited this “mall,” that truly is a building of seven floors full of kiosks that sell garment, jewellry, and luggage. The good thing is that much of the clothing has price tags. The bad part is that the fake branding articles do not have any, and the price depends on the face of the purchasers and their negotiating skills. The “mall” is very easy to reach getting to the National Stadium Skyway station and taking bus 93 for five stops when you leave the station. On your way back, take bus 11 to the station, instead of the 93.

One of the many malls along the Skywalk, the air-conditioned mall is dedicated to fashion. It has stores selling clothes, shoes, belts and other fashion accessories under one roof. Each floor is dedicated to one type of fashion with some floors selling men's fashion, some women's and some selling children's clothes. So you can buy clothes for the entire family here. And if you get tired of all the walking around or are feeling hungry, there is a food court here as well.

No longer friendly except those that shop owners.

Once you speak in Chinese they will ignore you. I was during whole Xmas week chat on pricing in English but once I have my conversation with my dad in Chinese, their attitudes swing badly or almost not serving you I mention to them I’m singaporean though they got shock thought we are from prc. So discriminating on Chinese

2 of my to-go places to shop since I discovered Bangkok sons ago are Platinum Fashion Mall and Chatuchak Weekend Market. I can stay in this mall for hours to comb through rows and rows of clothes. You try bargaining here but I’m usually contented when the shop owners give me wholesale price for 1 piece.

Apart from the clothes, you gotta check out their foodcourt that sells great kway chap, mango sticky rice and their pad Thai.

I’m always there whenever I’m in Bangkok.
