For only 60 THb this bus brings you to the KhaoSan and surroudings. This bus takes also the toll high way. Very easy and quick. For more information look on the internet

I bought whisky at departure in Suvarnibhumi airport. The cashier claim she had difficulty charging my credit card .. she did it numerous and also different machine.
I ended up with 2 charges for 1 item. Good job I immediately check the charges and report to Visa.
Not sure is a genuine mistake or intention to cheat.
Just check and confirm charges after purchase from the Duty Free shop

use metered cabs when leaving the airport to avoid your fares being 'adjusted' by the drivers,(often untrue), hotel services can also be more expensive than a metered cab fare. Cabs may also insist you pay for, take care to have the motorway toll fare on your way to your destination. be sure you carry some baht with you.

Our power bank was confiscated by airport authority during outgoing security check while travel out from Suwanaphumi Airport (BKK). This happened while we were boarding EVA air from BKK to SFO via Taiwan.

I was very upset, so I talked to a friend who worked high level at AOT to understand the guideline. Here is what she told me:

- Power bank regardless of size or capacity can not be put inside check-in luggage.

- At outgoing security, you will be asked to show the power bank to the security.

- AOT security will not allow power bank with capacity over 30,000 mAH to get on the plane. Mine was a 50,000 mAH so it was confiscated.

- AOT do allow max. 2 power banks per person, if each power bank has capacity less than 30,000mAH.

- If no battery capacity is printed on the power Bank, regardless how small the power bank is, it will be confiscated.

I do not know how strict the AOT follows this rule at various Thai airports. The same 50,000 mAH power bank had been travelling on the planes with me from SFO to BKK, BKK to Phuket , Phuket to Chiengmai, Chiengmai to BKK. Finally was confiscated on the very last trip from BKK to SFO. It looks like rule varies from airport to airport.

Most of us who travel with cell phones also likely travel with power banks. So to better prepare while travel trough Thai airports and not to be upset when you do not aware of the power bank rule, I hope this guideline can help you avoid some unpleasant situation.at the airport and have more enjoyable trip while in Thailand.

We got this on our recent trip to Suvarnabhumi airport, there are clear signs in the airport as to where the buses pick up. It is 60 BHT for one person, paid in cash to the driver who will drop you either at Khao San or somewhere near to there. We showed the driver our hotel address who dropped us maybe 5 mins from the hotel. Excellent service, runs every 30 mins. To return to the airport, bus picks up at the same bus stop (near the 7/11) and runs every 30 mins. Bus takes 1 hour approximately. Would definitely recommend, efficient, great experience and good to meet other people!

Airport Transfer Thailand

Bangkok
There's no shortage of transportation methods from BKK airport. However, if you haven't previously arranged your airport transfer prior to arrival, or if you don't want to queue for a taxi which may or may not have well functioning air conditioning or safety seat belts, then proceed directly to the AOT Limousine counter in the arrivals hall where baggage claim is located. There you can reserve a comfortable sedan with a highly professional driver. Then, upon exiting customs, there's another AOT counter, check-in there and you'll find that in the minutes between collecting your luggage and clearing customs, your car and driver will have been assigned, and you'll be escorted to the terminal exit door directly near the counter where your AOT car will arrive within moments! (You can also book online in advance). This airport transfer option isn't low cost, nor is it the most expensive. And, there are a range of price/vehicle options available. What it most assuredly is, is a most reliable, comfortable and safe option. And reasonably priced for the service provided.

Hello!
To all those ppl traveling to Pattaya via bangkok and wish to travel cheap then i must recommend that once u land in bangkok then first thing u cn do is go to the second floor of the airport and buy a local sim card with internet. There are 2 types of offers available 1- for 8 days and 2- for one month and the charges are 300 baht. After this you go to the ground floor to gate number 8 there u will get the bus ticket to go to Pattaya and the charges for the bus one way is 130 baht. Before taking the bus, please check whr will the bus drop you and whr is your hotel located. Please tell the driver he will guide you whr to get down or since u hav bought a local sim you can see it for yourself. The bus takes about 2 hours to reach Pattaya and the last bus if im not wrong is at 18:00 hours. So plan your flight accordingly.

Hope this helps. Enjoy!
