Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The King Taksin Monument stands amidst the Wong Wian Yai, which is a huge traffic island. It is in the center of a bustling junction. King Taksin was famous for his prowess in battle. This monument shows King Taksin the Great sitting on his charger. His sabre is raised as if he is signalling his a cavalry charge at the enemy.

King Taksin (1734 - 1782) was not a Chakri and perhaps for this reason is often missing in overviews of royal history. Taksin founded his capital on the Westside of the river. It explains the location of his statue in Thonburi. Taksin is a famous historic figure because of his successful resistance against Burmese invasion.
The square with the statue is huge and serves as a highway junction with lots of motorized traffic. It took me some time to manage crossing to the roundabout park with Taksin. Many people use this space to jog or run. Remarkable I found that people worship this king as if he were a divine being. They burn candle's and place offerings in front of the statue.
