Neighbourhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

- travelmommunichMunich, Germany63 contributionsMust do if you‘re into Thai FoodAt first I was a little skeptical that a multi-hour cooking class would be doable with my 6 year old, but it was no problem at all! Despite language barriers (he speaks no English) it went amazingly well! The morning shopping at the market was an absolute highlight! Back at the cooking school, the table was already wonderfully prepared with the ingredients for the first dish. It looked just great! Then it was time to start cooking! Even for me as a non-cooking professional totally easy to make! And poof, you have already conjured up a delicious soup! The same goes for the other dishes! All steps perfectly prepared and a very pleasant atmosphere. I can only say, thumbs up! I would definately do it again! Small, but important tip: do not eat breakfast before:-)Visited May 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 September 2023
- AngelaManila, Philippines28 contributionsBest Experience in BangkokIt was the best experience we had in Bangkok. Not only that we were able to savour the best, authentic Thai dishes but the process of making them from scratch, knowing each and every ingredient, and even preparing, slicing, cooking, grinding, mixing them, building them slowly and understanding each and every step until a complete dish is formed. These hands-on experience and being taught by the best teaacher made us appreciate these local foods more. All the foods tasted very delicious, as we were able to modify according to out preferred taste. Thanks to Song for a fun and lively cooking experience especially for us first timers. We felt we became an instant master chef in just 3 hours. Would love to visit again if I come back to Bangkok.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 27 October 2023

We were delighted to be at their new facility, which was just the right size, well-ventilated, and impeccably maintained. Our energetic teacher, Song, infused the class with passion, sharing valuable tips and insights into Thai cooking. The menu selection catered perfectly to beginners, and the organized and aesthetically pleasing presentation of ingredients and prep tables enhanced the overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return when we visit Bangkok again. After three weeks in Thailand we made the food ourselves. It was so delicious. We first went to the market, then the chef explained every ingredient. All the instructions were very clear. Everyone made their own plate so you could make it how you like (choose spices…). They were so nice and friendly, we could also do takeaway because we were too full haha. A very good experience, would really recommend!!

My hotel recommended this cooking school but I also went on trip advisor to check them out. It was very reasonably priced compared to others in Bangkok. I love cooking classes when I travel. This was a great one mainly because I already love Thai food and wanted to brush up on my recipe skills. The recipe book is included, along with chopsticks, and a complete four course meal.If you have availability to a lot of Thai ingredients where you live, you will be able to making curry from from scratch, and the best coconut sticky rice. Really it was a lot of food, and all fresh ingredients. Pick the morning class if you want to go to the market to buy ingredients, but it was fun also in the afternoon when it’s too hot to be outdoors.

I had a great experience making this Pad Thai!. It was my first time but the teacher guided us and the team helped us a lot. That so amazing feeling like I was a chef. Would surely recommend their classes and the best experience for your handle. Try to get for their trial classes!! I'm sure back again.

I booked this class as it was in the same street as my hotel and I’m so glad I did. We walked to the local markets which is only 100 metres away to buy our produce for the day. Unlike other cooking classes this market does not allow groups to stop and look at all the produce, so we were in and out pretty quick but our teacher Ann meticulously explained each of the ingredients to us back in the kitchen. The four courses were delicious and more than enough for the two of us in the class. The cookbook is beautifully presented and we were given the opportunity to make notes as we went. We were even able to take our mango and sticky rice away to enjoy later. Highly recommend and excellent value compared to others on offer.
