Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had an amazing time of the entire experience. From the moment that we met at the market (to purchase the ingredients) through to the end of the cooking and eating experience we were completely impressed. Although some may question the experience to be on the expensive side, we believe learning to cook authentic Thai food was worth the price.

This was an excellent way to navigate your way around the amazing number of food stalls and restaurants in Chinatown. Our guide Mai took us to a variety of places, from the secret herbal tea shop and an old restaurant recently modernised to stalls on the busy main road. We even got to meet the ice cream stall dog Toffee, who sits calmly on a stall watching the chaos. Definitely give this or one of the other tours a go.

We booked a private tour that included a longboat ride (Thonburi food tour on their website). Honestly, this tour was so much more than a food tour. We did of course sample awesome food - street foods and restaurant foods of all kinds. But we also got a wonderful tour of several parts of the city, got a quick moped ride, cruised in our long boat, learned a ton about Thai Buddhist practices and other Thai traditions and more. From 9am till almost 2pm our guide Jongkie jam packed so much value, information and tasty food into our tour that we left amazed at all we saw and learned. Jongkie was a delightful host and ran a flawless tour for us. She created some truly special moments that we will treasure. Highly recommend this experience.

In January, we did Thonburi Food & Canals Adventure as part of our holiday in Bangkok and loved it! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to not only follow the tour programme but also answer our questions and accommodate for our additional needs (There are always some with a toddler). The whole experience was authentic and very well planned. Our meals were always cooked on time, the people we were meeting were expecting us as guests and opened their small, family businesses for us with smiles on their faces. The tour provided a perfect combination of different activities, modes of transportation and eating experiences. We felt very lucky to have seen Bangkok from this perspective as it provided a taster of the life of locals in the city. Highly recommended!

We did the Floating Markets food tour. Of course this tour is a bit pricy, but it was well organized and we really had a lot of different dishes (more than twenty). The dishes were a good mixture of all different kind of thai food and the markets we visited had a great flair and were mostly frequented by locals. All markets had a different feeling. Our guide Jongkie was super nice and also fun ( we even sang some karaoke :-D) and she really picked great food for us. We can definitely recommend the trip if you are not on a tight budget.

We did the midnight food tour together with my girlfriend. The tour was okay but I would not really call it a food tour. We stopped at 3 restaurants, did not have that much variety of food and learn almost nothing about the food. The guide could not really connect with the group, had several empty moments with just standing and waiting. Not really worth the money but it might have been caused by the guide. Visit of the temple during the night was nice. I would not do it again and rather spend the money on exploring by ourselves.

We had a fabulous time on our midnight food tour. Jonny was knowledgeable and great! We had 6 stops starting with pad thai, sticky rice and mango, Chinatown for sweet pineapple, then we went to get crunchy noodles with chicken at a Michelin star restaurant, then to the flower market and topped it off at a trendy rooftop bar. The tour was excellent and the food was the best I’ve had in Thailand (and New York!) I would highly recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful time sampling the tastes and sounds of Bangkok at night.
Norman our guide was a lovely young man, very informative, helpful and good fun.
The food we sampled was varied and good.
Norman also walked us through a very busy china town (it was Chinese New Year ), it was a fantastic experience.

Great experience and highly recommend. Chanya was excellent, full of information and fun. Got to see loads of the city by Tuk Tuk and were brought to taste some of the nicest food to offer in Bangkok. Highly recommend if you only have a few days in Bangkok and would recommend doing it early in your visit so you can go back to some of the places again. Got to see Chinatown and the flower market and other hidden experiences that I don't think we would have found on our own.

Well the biggest challenge of the day was getting to the meeting spot as the traffic in the morning was like nothing I have seen before. We gave ourselves an hour from Baan Eanlang hotel and we were still 20 minutes late. The tour guide, Bow, was well prepared for us and I say this because the day flowed from one experience to the next seemlessly. Bow is very well educated on the history of the area and all the foods we tried. The long boat we took for the canal tour was waiting for us and was never far away when we exited for a journey back on land. I was thinking it was expensive but at the end of the day when I evaluated all the places we went, all the food we ate and drank, and how much we took in throughout the day, the logistics of getting from A to B there would be no way you could see this much even in a couple days. Brilliant!!
