A real retro cinema, just like the Scala cinema. Surrounded by an indoor market, there are 3 cinemas here and they still use ushers to show you to your seat. Seats are very comfortable, especially in the front row.

If you want to pay a third of what you pay in the major cinema complexes then this cinema hall is the place to go. Saw a new release Hollywood film for 120 baht. The other cinemas would be charging between 300 to 400 baht.

If you dont like the usual block busters showing in bkk have a try at this cinema. The place near bts siam is a bit gloomy but i was able to see the latest Woody Allen for 80 b at 10 am !

Been a while since I've seen a movie at LIDO, but saw "Room" today at 5:30pm. Yeah, the theater is not as upscale as Paragon across the street, but they're showing something other than "Gods of Egypt" and "Kung Fu Panda 3," thankfully AND the tickets were only 120 THB. Nice! The lady selling the tickets was cranky, but who... More

There are 3 screens, old theater but not run down. I saw "The Lobster" there, and now they have Deadpool. Quite a variety. THere is a little snack place outside by the ticket office that has popcorn and a few things. They don't mind if you go down to the 7-11 and bring Cokes and food in. THe picture and... More

I was a Lido movie fan for years while I lived and worked in Bangkok and now when I visit I am so pleased they are still around. They do alternatives to the Hollywood box office favs of other Bangkok cinemas and dont charge ridiculous amounts for seats even when they do show more commercial stuff. They have a good... More

Lido is 1 of the few art-house cinemas in Bangkok. With Houserama, one of the few where you can watch independent films and for very little. Don't aspect amazing theaters like the one in Paragon, but good enough to enjoy a film. I love it!
