Good place to take first time visitors, service is good, clientle isnt what it used to be, drinks range is ok, price is what you would expect from the location, I like the bar on the lower level so once youve taken in the views head down for more relaxed atmosphere.

Open sky restaurant located at the 64th floor of the tower. No charges for entrance. You have to enter in to the restaurant with smart casual dress. You can have dinner or liquor at this place. But prices are very high. one bottle of wine may be around 150 Dollar. You can enjoy breezing atmospheric view having a glass of wine.... More

Until recently State tower had the highest outdoor restaurant in Bangkok. Actually there are three, the best known being Scirocco, where a dinner for two can easily set you back $500 or more with a decent bottle of wine. State Tower is next to the Chao Praya River, so views are spectacular. If you are not among the top two... More

What a rip off! Was ushered to the bar and encouraged to purchase a drink. At first thought the drink overpriced but what the heck, look at that view right? But when the bill came, hidden vat and service charge! Crowded, strong smell of cigarette/cigar smoke and were told where to stand and where to not stand. Oh and got... More

very busy. had to queue up to get in the lift. overpriced. too many people there which ruined the ambience. however, amazing view, good for a photo. and a must see. be warned, need trousers and shirt and shoes for entry. have cloakroom so can leave a change of clothes safely there.

The setting and the food are magnificent, with beautiful views over Bangkok and the river. Staff is very helpful and will do everything to make you feel special. I’ve been there a couple of times and the chef keeps on surprising me with wonderful combinations of food, drinks and tastes. I just love this place. It is however very expensive... More

If you are a movie buff then you'll know this is the place that one of the Hangover movie was filmed. But even better is the restaurant that occupies this space, its literally an open space on the highest building so the views are incredible. You can go up for drinks only as well, the round colorful bar is beautiful,... More

Certainly there is no doubt, the draw here is the view and that is exceptional. The panoramic look out onto Bangkok is extraordinary. The cocktails, however, do not even compete. Perhaps the most I have ever paid for two drinks neither of which was superb. To be fair, a trip to the top of anything similar in NYC would bring... More

The place was as many reviews describe, beautiful views, expensive drinks (you can choose not to consume and just enjoy the view, however expect a crowded space surrounding the bar, where almost everybody stands). There is a waitstaff, just in the top of the stairs, to whom you can ask him to take your group pictures (he has a little... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
