One of many Orchid and Butterfly Farms in the area, we chose Bai online before travel to Chiang Mai. We enjoyed about 1 hour at the farm, especially enjoying the time inside the butterfly house. The souvenirs, cast from real orchids and butterflies, are lovely and reasonably priced.

On the way back to Chiang Mai after the Masai Elephant camp we stopped there for a visit and lunch. They explain how they grow orchids, which is interesting, and you can stroll around. There is also a butterfly greenhouse which is ver nice (and very hot). We had a buffet lunch included in the price. The food was nice... More

if you're an amateur nature lover, then this is a must-see. the butterflies offer amazing opportunities for photographers. don't plan on spending long, but an hour or so is fine. And the gift shop offers lovely, inexpensive costume jewelry

Found this by accident when on the road to another attraction and spent a delightful hour enjoying the butterflies and other insects. It has a shop selling gorgeous jewellery from resin covered orchid flowers which are a treat for the eye and a restaurant that we only bought drinks from but looked very nice.

Not a great number of different butterflies to see and not a huge range of orchids but it is worth a visit along with the snake farm and insect museum which are in the same area. The Orchid and Butterfly Farm has the added attraction of a very good all you can eat buffet for 200 baht.

This place had good food and pretty flowers but it was a lot smaller then I had anticipated. It was fun to see the flowers and butterflies but it was not my favorite visit of my trip.
