Cracking day cooking up a storm in the kitchen under the superb tutelage of Apple, who enthusiastically had the whole class making great food . Absolutely stuffed to bursting after six delicious courses: Tom Yum Kung, Pad Thai, Pa-nang Curry, Stir-fried prawns with tamarind sauce (my favourite!), Papaya Salad and, finally, Deep-fried Banana with ice-cream, can't wait to try them... Can't say enough about it. We didn't want to spend a full day at cooking class. Although I've heard that school is great too. This class is 4 hours long and well worth it. Our instructor was amazing and really funny. Gave great insight into Thai culture. And you get a go to the Thai market and ask as many... More

This was such a fun night! I was the lone Canadian with a bunch of equally friendly Americans and we had the best time sharing food and stories. A very entertaining market tour preceded our 6-dish class, led by the school's owner Tom. Tom is full of good humour and great stories and even let us send out his lovely... More

Tom was a fantastic host and we could not have asked for a better experience. The class itself was very well structured and we each made 6 yummy Thai dishes. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the local market where they explained about the produce we were going to use in the dishes. The group was... More

We did the half day evening course at basil cookery school on our third night in chiang mai. Having already done another cooking school the previous night with many similar dishes, we found ourselves still learning new things about thai cuisine and trying new exciting flavours. This class offers many different courses and you will leave feeling very full! Class... More

My wife and I really enjoyed this half day cookery lesson. Apple was our teacher and she made the class fun as well as informative. It's well organised and you get a choice of which dishes to make. Great value for money and very enjoyable.

I made a mistake with the date of booking, that we realized only while we were waiting for their pick up. Yet, they were flexible enough to allow us to join that evening course and welcomed us very nicely. The whole course was managed with jokes, laughters and lots of enthusiasm. The dishes were great. We left with a book... More
