Fun but touristy

There are a ton of places to shop and eat at here. It was a bit overpriced and touristy (but that also means they speak English) for my taste, but was still fun to walk around.

We got Chiang Mai after Bangkok and before returning to Bangkok from Phuket. I saved most of my souvenir shopping until the last night in Bangkok. I found myself saying "I saw that listed for half that price in Chiang Mai"...almost worth a flight back just to shop. Stock up if you can! But, it's always good to have an... More

It was pretty much same as the other markets. Similar items, but definitely slightly cheaper here. Although prices are vary from a store to a store. Therefore, it would be good to walk around first to make good purchases. Please remember that there are different prices for local and tourists.

Many interesting local products are sold here from t-shirts, shawls, pareos, jewellery, perfumed soaps, local tidbits and the list goes on. There are also many cafes and restaurants, including halal restaurants for the Muslims. A lot of amazing and unique ice cream can also be found there, attracting one to try it out. I enjoyed browsing through the handicrafts here... More

It's a really really big night market, but more like for tourists, food, cloth is expensive and all look same. I will recommend to Chiang mai university night market, it's for local people, that is awesome.

Anusarn has good, music, bars, actually everything. The stands are like most of the rest you see in CM, many handicrafts, bags, scarfs etc. Vendors will ask high prices if you don't negotiate.

Located behind the main night markets. Lots of food stalls, local suvoueirs., clothes etc. On thecedge tgeircare a few restaurants and pubs with food and music. A lot more relaxed & easier to walk around than the main street markets. Has entertainment during the night. .its a good night out.

An absolute must when in Chiang Mai, the market is just so vast and the people are great no hard sale or calling and things appeared at a reasonable price. The food stalls and music is also great fun!! Loved this!

Love this place when in Chiang Mai. Typical night market fair, but surrounded by plenty of good food and several bars with live bands that are pretty good. You can have a good meal, a few drinks, shop if you like and listen to music. And if be on the watch for the ladyboys from the cabaret.
