There was a red one at the back that was some type of stone maybe and just so different to everything else you see. A lot to walk around and see here. Totally worth the visit.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 July 2023
- Yann RenaudSwitzerland811 contributionsVery nice wooden temple and colored lanternsA wonderful temple, very peaceful, and with an interesting architecture, as it is totally wooden. Behind the temple, you find a place with a lot of colored lanterns hanging. A very nice temple I wod highly recommend visiting. Moreover, the entrance is free.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 January 2024

This complex had a nice mix of a the things I liked at the others temples in the area. What stood out the most were the guardian statues at the entrance by the street, and the detail in the architecture of the black and white main building. Be sure to take the time to visit here and walk around as theres a lot to see here and the grounds are larger than most of the other temples.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 March 2024

This is a great temple with lots of things to see (and hear) and very well worth a visit across the north moat.

The temple is located near the north gate of the old city. Just cross the roads to the outside of the moat. The façade is intricate and magnificent. The vihara is splendid. The roof is well decorated.

Its proximity to the old city gate makes it convenient to get to. The 3-tiered wooden roof makes it unusual among other temples. The temple dates back to the 14th century, an old temple indeed but well maintained.

A wonderful temple to visit. There are ropes at the pagoda which you can pull to send a bamboo carrying water up to the Buddha statue. Free to visit.

Giving this 4 stars in no way implies this isn't a wonderful place to visit, but I'm visiting alot of Temples here, so I'm saving the 5 star rating for the best of the best.
Beautiful inside the main Temple building and I love all the gold ribbons hung on lines in front of the Chedi carrying people's wishes.

This was my least favourite Wat. I only came as I went to the Three Kings Monument nearby. Otherwise don't bother. Very different in terms of colours and structure compared to the other Wat's. Not huge. What was nice to see here was the monks teaching. The Wat appeared to be very 'active' with Thai families. I also managed to see a bride and groom having a photo shoot!
