Simply the best guided motorcycle tour operator in Chiang Mai. Fully bonded with the Tourist Authority of Thailand, we offer tours ranging from one day up to 14 days on top quality machines through fantastic remote roads and/or technical or easy dirt tracks. Currently we go all over northern and central Thailand, Laos and Myanmar (Burma) and custom tours are available on request. All our tours are fully legal and run in conjunction with a TAT licenced guide and an expat lead rider. We have hundreds of thousands of kilometers of riding in the area under our wheels gained over many, many years of riding here and we assure you of the ultimate experience when you join one of our tours.

That an amazing experience! We highly recommend this tour company. This was our first guided tour and we were not disappointed. Tik and Marcus were simply the best. Tik's took such good care of us and her food recommendation were fantastic. She remembered our food and drink preferences throughout the trip and took care with my several food allergies. We appreciated her knowledge of the area. We learned so much about the area and loved seeing parts of Thailand we never would have seen adventuring on our own. Marcus' knowledge of the route and riding advice made us feel safe on the road.

Just finished our 4 day ride with some maté’s absolutely fantastic experience. We had Tic and Marcus taking us around and they were great Tic with her local knowledge and giving us the best places to go for dinner that we would never of picked. Marcus with his knowledge of the ride was awesome. They kept it light and humorous which sat well with our Aussie humour

I’ve just returned home after spending 10 days riding around Northern Thailand, it’s my 3rd time I have completed a tour with TBB tours and they just keep getting better and better, a perfect balance of twist roads, great food & accommodation and it’s all topped off by 2 awesome people, Jeff & Duncan who made things happen so seamlessly.

Always nice to see you and ride with you and great to have met Stephen too - he's rebooked to come back next March for our Bikes & Beaches tour so obviously enjoyed himself in this one too!

I just finished my 4 day Mae Hong Son loop with Tik and Marcus. Couldn’t ask for better tour guides and friends who really went out if there way to help me. Marcus with his amazing riding tips and Tik with the best food recommendations and local knowledge was truly unmatched. Special shout out to Jeff and Duncan and everyone at TBB for an unforgettable 4 days. Thanks again for everything guys.

My Partner and I did the Mae Hong Son loop in late November, 2022 with Marcus and Tik. The trip was absolutely fantastic in every way from our first contact with Jeff, who although he did not have a trip/tour for our dates, he arranged for Marcus and Tik to be our guides. We hadn't travelled for 3 years and although we are experienced riders/travellers we just wanted an easy no thinking trip and that's exactly what we got. Every detail was taken care of, from the bike being in perfect condition, to the coffee stops, lunches, great hotels, and a perfect blend of awesome roads and sightseeing. Tik took care of all our needs and made our trip a memorable one, whilst Marcus is a very experienced rider who set a great pace that we were comfortable with. Highly recommend this trip and will be certainly returning for a longer trip in the future, hopefully with Marcus and Tik.

Hi Dieter, Jeff here. Thank you so much for your positive review and I'm glad you enjoyed your second tour with us. However, you forgot one important thing - Tik! Whilst Marcus is great and deserves praise, Tik is the star of the show with her bubbly personality and organisational skills. I booked the Mae Hong Son loop ride from 14/03 to 17/03/22. I was expecting a big group for the ride but pleasantly found out that i was the only person on the tour. My guides Marcus and Tik were the most awesome guides that i have met. As it was only me, both Marcus and Tik were really flexible with what i wanted to see along the way, however i must admit that i had no idea what to expect in terms of the attractions along the way but Marcus and Tik constantly gave me suggestions on what was available. The ride itself was quite enjoyable as Marcus was very knowledgable about the route, and in addition to that, Tik's knowledge about the local dialact and attractions off the beaten path were second to none. As for the bike itself, i rented the Vstrom 650, after a through check at the TBB office, did provide me with a solid and enjoyable ride. Aside from the FI light popping up occasionally on the bike's dashboard, there were no problems at all with the bike. Pre-tour, all my emails regarding the package were promptly replied by Jeff, who was very clear in replying to all my queries.
I would highly recommend those who want to experience an adventure on a motorcycle up the northern hills of Thailand to book with TBB tours, you will not be disappointed! Khob khun jaao! 🙏

Thanks for the great and accurate review. Marcus and Tik are indeed a couple of superstars and more than made up for my unavailability due to being out on another tour.
Due to covid, the bikes have been laid up for a couple of years and the FI light coming on is due to a dodgy sensor. According to knowledge on the web, Vstrom sensors are notoriously sensitive to even the smallest voltage drop and this apparently throws up the "Check Engine" light and F1 on the dash when in reality there is nothing actually wrong which was proven as the bike performed faultlessly throughout your trip.

I took the 4 day Mae Hong Son loop with guides Marcus and Tik Ackerman and it was outstanding. Thousands of banks on well maintained roads, I felt comfortable the entire time. Although the guides took me to some preplanned great spots, they were also flexible with the agenda and let me speed off at times when I wanted. Every aspect of the ride was taken care of, even the places to get a cold pint each night. I'd highly recommend this to anyone and I hope to do it again. I can't thank Marcus and Tik enough for surpassing all the expectations I had coming in.
