We were lucky to get there while the Himalayan cherry trees were in full bloom. The road is a bit tricky and narrow (one paved lane), will require very good driving skills; better to get there on one of the mini-buses plying the route.

Sakura Blossom is normally only over a Short Term in January - depending on Weather from middle to the end of the month. In March these Flowers will have been gone and in my Opinion it's not a perfect month at all to visit Chiang Mai due to the "burning season" locals tend to burn everything what they can find. Sadly this contains also different kind of plastic waste - however it might become a "breathtaking" experience. Try to visit his pace in January and combine it with Doi Ankham (where there are also some Himalaya Cherry Trees) and take a ride over the Mountains down Direction Chiang Mai - if the Air is clear this might become a more beautiful experience for you then Doi Suthep Sakura Area which tends to be very crowded in season...
