The wife and I spent a week in Koh Samui while on honeymoon May 2019, and our day trip to the ang thong marine park with 100Degrees East was one of our favorite excursions of the entire honeymoon. The team (shoutout to Kurt The Man!), the dive/snorkelequipment/boat, and the itinerary were all fantastic. Coordination for pickup was easy, and check in prior to departure completely spoiled us: super warm welcome from Ivan, the most clear concise trip briefing from team leader Kurt, and friendly assistance with getting snack/drink/last minute things organized in prep for the boat ride. General recap of the day: Boat ride was pleasurable with light chop, island touring was gorgeous, beach hangout was relaxing, and lunch with vegetarian option tasted great (typical Thai curry), and kayaking was super fun. Hike in the end was less hiking, more climbing. But the super steep stairs up to the emerald lake vista, while challenging, were worth it. Note — Comfy shoes definitely recommended. Super impressed by: flexibility to dive/snorkel depending on conditions; emphasis on safety first but having fun as a close second; efforts to avoid other boat operators/tourists was spot on; staff were informative/friendly/super positive all day; and the marine park is BEAUTIFUL. Team leader/dive instructor Kurt, THE MAN, deserves a HUGE shoutout. He came up to us early in the day to brief us on the dive/snorkel plan. He made clear that there was no pressure to execute the dive as we originally intended (visibility was expected to be poor in light of recent storms). Still bringing all the gear and allowing my wife (OWD with only few dives under her weight belt) to make final decision on go/no go earns him top marks as an instructor (visibility was in fact atrocious, but made for a very unique/apocalyptic experience, recommend being AOWD, solid dive count or low viz experience if looking at 1-2meter viz conditions). Kurt also did an incredible job for the entire group of setting expectations, clearly explaining the agenda, what to do, where to be, and made clear that safety and fun were his two top priorities—all of which made for an epic day out in nature! Thanks to Kurt and the whole team for making this trip an unforgettable experience and extra special memory from our honeymoon trip. Our recommendation — Don’t even hesitate, just check/chat with the staff RE weather conditions and book your adventure with 100 Degrees East!

Our day trip to trip to Ang Thong Marine Park couldn't have been better, from the office staff taking the booking, the guy giving the briefing and the entire team on the boat, to the trip itself. I can't rate it highly enough. Previous reviewers have said it all - if you get the chance, do it, you won't regret it!

Cannot recommend the trip to Ang Thong Marine Park enough. Nice speedboat trip to the park. Good snorkelling - plenty of fish. The guys knew their stuff and helped out a lot. Lunch was excellent - plentiful and so delicious. All cooked on the day and hot (temp) when consumed. Picturesque scenery for lunch. We opted for the hike. So pleased we did. 3 different groups of monkeys and views to die for. The smaller lagoon hike was terrific too. Drinks and snacks were provided throughout. Brilliant day out. Thanks to all the tour guides.

We went on a trip to the Angthong Marine Park with the 100 Degree team and could not have wished for a better day. They catered for all ranges from 12 to 55 and organised a dive for two of our group and a snorkel session for the other seven. We then had a delicious lunch on a deserted island with amazing food. This was followed by a hike to the Emerald lake and then kayaking to another beautiful beach. I have to congratulate the Divemaster, Mr Chai for his patience and professionalism. The whole boat team were wonderful and every effort was spent making sure our trip was as enjoyable as possible. I would thoroughly recommend 100 Degrees East, they care about your experience and their professionalism shines through the whole trip.
