I guess I was expecting more of a botanical garden then themed gardens with fake animal statuary. At 500THB per person, I found it not worthwhile.

Less the international rates (500+ B, vs. Thai 125+ B) , the Gardens were wonderful, very colorful with lots to see. many statues and animals to take photos with. VERY large facility @500+ acres of different plants, trees and flowers.

I went to this very strange and admittedly beautiful park. What hit me most was the deplorable conditions that the animals were in. The elephants looked like ghosts, obediently performing demeaning tasks for their masters who were all carrying large hooks to beat them with. The one tiger was obviously drugged up to the eyeballs and chained to a stump.... More

Its done very beautifully. Children will enjoy the whole experience more. There are some shows too like Thai culture show, Elephant show etc. Spend a leisurely day there. Take lot of water. Need to walk a lot to see everything.
