Lousy, dirty, low maintenance is what I saw, many cages empty and 80% of animals here are birds. Waste of time and in my opinion it is a waste of reputation to Phuket city as well.

It has become really run down and the enclosures are in bad shape. There's also a lot of empty enclosures now so not a lot to see here. The animals don't look happy. I should have spent my money elsewhere.

We didn't read reviews before going to the zoo, I wish we had we would not have gone. Most of the time we spent feeling sick in the stomach looking at the poor animals in their concrete enclosures that look like they have not been cleaned in years. They all look so sad and I really think that animal rights... More

Not worth your time or money, animals poorly treated, very sad to see, no clean water for them, weeds over grown, will never be back

We went to Phuket Zoo with an open mind, as we had read really bad reviews on trip advisor saying how bad it was! This was un real! As soon as we seen the tiger with the chain Elroy he it's neck, we wanted to leave! They were basically just parading the animals so u wld get a photo with... More

I visited this zoo on Saturday and was not impressed. The grounds seemed poorly kept, the animals malnourished, there were no signs or any information about what the animals were. There was no loo paper, and the toilets were utterly disgusting. I expect more for the price paid (500 baht per adult, 300 per child). The monkey show was the... More

One the filthiest places I have visited! In need for a major revamp! Animal enclosures are dirty and you can just tell those animals are not happy! We left after 20mins!

the place is lovely very scenic and lots to do. the animal shows every half hour are all of a high standard and well worth watching. our 4 year old grandaughter loved it. the animals are all looked after as well. the only fault was the length of time we waited for a meal. they dont rush and cook every... We decided to go to this Zoo on the suggestion of our driver after our first destination. We were mostly impressed. Staff were pretty good, crocodile show was cool but our only let downs were the elephants chained by the ankle. And the mummy monkey in the cage whilst everyone held her baby. They kept her close I think to... More
