All you basically get unless you set off and have a dig around yourself is a relatively modern restaurant and heaps of souvenir/clothing stands. Most of the place is actually on long stumps stuck into mud, not a lot actually seems to be floating. You...More

The floating village is full of the locals. The restaurant is not too bad, and the market is quite busy. However, there is not much else to do in the island except bargain and shop around...

Depressing place, if you are interested in viewing marine pollution & junk trinklets along with sewage smells go to this place. The highlight was the happy little children.

We booked a trip including James Bond Island and Koh Panyi. Basically it was a stop over for lunch during our trip to James Bond Island. It is very interesting and quite a big floating village. There was a school for children, many shops selling...More

The village was half an hour by speedboat from James Bond Island. Very colorful village but was from inside it was not very clean. Could see the poverty amongst the people staying there. But overall it was a good experience to be there.

Went as part of a tour group. The boat journey there was amazing especially on approach when you see the huge rock with a village on stills in its shadow. Had a guided walk through some parts of the village. It was amazing to see...More

Interesting town not only because it's built on stilts, but because it's entirely muslim. I went during low tide, and it was cool watching the mudskipper fish.
