- crawfords37Coffs Harbour, Australia216 contributionsCertainly crazy 🤪The architecture and imagination of the designer/owner of Crazy house is brilliant. A crazy maze of walkways leading to different areas such as an underwater scene. Well worth a visit to this quirky place especially if you have children. We were surprised to learn that you can actually stay here. Think it would be quite eery at night!!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 November 2023
- E.S.Cheah88 contributionsQuirky and full of fairytales .Very cool and interesting place to see. Nothing like you’ll ever experience and full of so many details to discover. Best seen from the highest stairways but plenty still to see if you don’t like climbing. Def not to miss and worth the 60,000 entry fee.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 28 November 2023

- Grantwatson777Adelaide, Australia1,117 contributionsA must see when in Da Lát and not just for Vietnamese. Tourists will love itWhat an amazing and unique place. Like nothing I have ever seen in the world. Some tried to compare it to Gaudi but I would disagree. They are not the same. There is something different to see around every corner and totally loved the aquatic area. Great family activity which will last two to three hours. Watch the kids on some parts as there are low or no handrailsVisited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 January 2024
- Mary L244 contributionsCrazy House - Unique Architectural CreationsWe happened to stumble on this historical museum as we ventured onto our various escapades in Vietnam. Crazy House is a unique magical place to be. The attraction was designed by architect Dang Viet Nga who is the daughter of Dang Huu Phuc, who was the vice president of Vietnam from 1992-2001. The features of the Crazy House resembles that of a fairy-like structure. You have to be physically there to experience the twisting staircases and detailed designs of maze-like corridors, fantasy rooms and hidden breathtaking landscapes. It's just impressive being immersed in the creativity of it all. A great place for tourists, architects and art lovers to explore unconventional designs. The entrance fee is quite affordable.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 January 2024

There is a great little cafe among the quirky setting and it appears that you can also stay here- rooms set up but not sure. The aptly named house is a labyrinth of stairs and paths that interconnect and soar between the buildings in the complex. We had fun retracing our steps to try and cross every path. However, we went in the afternoon and it was very crowded. In most places the path is only wide enough for one person and many spots don't have much of a guardrail, so it was nerve-wracking trying to pass other people. I recommend going early to miss the crowds.
They are building a new section in the back that looks like it will double the size of the complex. I was pretty done with it after an hour so I don't know that I would want to do more, but maybe that will help with the crowding.

This was my forth stay at the Crazy House and it just gets better and better. You have to realise that this is a very eccentric homestay, it is not a hotel and for that reason it's a bit rough and ready around the edges. The staff were really helpful and their English was brilliant and they were really helpful and good at informing me about the history of the building and the life of the architect. Kids would absolutely love this place.

Aptly named, The Crazy House is Disney like in many ways. Amazingly people do vacation in the rooms here surrounded by the constant flow of curious tourists. The storey behind it could be the most interesting part. Each room stled towards a different animal representing countries involved in the history of Vietnam. Go early to avoid the masses of tourists getting log jammed on the Maze of one person width bridges and stairs.

We arrived there around 4pm and were confronted with buses and a crowd of people queuing to enter. More buses were arriving and offloading more tourists and it was obvious that the visit was not going to be a good one. We turned around and gave this tourist attraction a miss. Probably a good idea to get there when it opens first thing in the morning and avoid the crowd.

The construction is a mixture of Modernist structures that provides many stairs joining different levels of the building. Some shops and accomodation included in the confusion set on a large suburban block of land with further construction underway. A performance area and
Twisting gardens are also included. I had hoped it would be similar to those wonderful constructions in Spain, but alas no.
You would need to be fit and careful if visiting as the stairs are lethal in terms of safety. Heaps of visitors.

If you don't like buildings with angles and straight lines, you'll love this place. It's like a trip through a hobbit house or an Alice in Wonderland adventure. Lots of stair climbing - some of them go to other rooms, some don't seem to go anywhere at all, and none of them are traditional stairs. They also have rooms for rent overnight - there's a bear room, a kangaroo room - the rooms are just as strange as the main structure. It's a really quirky place and you could easily spend a few hours getting lost in the many caverns and winding passageways before you find your way out.

The visit is quite irregular. The architecture is strange but amazing. The idea behind the carved passes between the rooms is attractive. Unlike Gaudi Sagrada Familia, here you can also travel inside the house and feel it intimately.

We visited the Crazy House for the first time.
It is certainly a strange, weird and unique place, think a cross between Gaudi's Barcelona and Cappodocia in Turkey !!
Some good views of the surrounding town though.
Seems to have been designed by someone under the influence of psychodelic substances !!
Admission price 60,000 VND per person.
One visit here is probably enough.

Our tour continues from riding cable car to strawberry farm then exciting visit to the famous Crazy House. The entry ticket is cheap and the place is quite small but lots of thrilling floors to climb in order to look at the amazingly cinstructed rooms and attractions.on each floor.
At the highest (3rd floor- I was dustracted to count correctly) we took some memorable pictures in groups.
However, our visit was shorter than expected because the place was too crowded with tourists so we headout earlier to go for our late lunch at 'Kampong Pandan'.restsurant Da Lat (Halal food).

We visited crazy house during the quieter period in March ‘20 at the time of corona virus. It was quiet and we happily paid the 60,000 VND each entry.
This place is crazy, and there are some really cool stairways and paths to follow. You can spend at least a good hour in here exploring. Beware if you don’t like heights some of the routes may be a little intimidating.
Definitely worth a visit if in Dalat.

Hi,
Yup you can stay there. Nice rooms and I think it would be comfy for 2 pax. But you will have to get use to having lots of people there as people go there to look around and take photos.

Is this place an actual hotel? I'm looking to travel to Da Lat in early February and was thinking about staying here.
Thanks!

Is it a kid friendly place? Lots of walking up and down the stairs? I plan to go there with my 3 y.o girl.
TIA

Your child will love it. You will have to be careful though as some of the walkways are high. There are still lots to see and through the eyes of a 3 years old he/she will be mesmerised. Well worth the 50,000 dong entrance fee and maybe less for your child. Enjoy

Hello Mr./Ms. Assel R,
Crazy house is not only a seeing-spot, it is also a hotel. Every room you visited is for rent as a hotel. However, we should remind you that it may be noisy during daytime because there are many tourists arrive to Crazy house every day. Nevertheless, in contrast, it is very peaceful at night, you can even hear the sound of frogs, crickets outside.
In addition, in order to ensure the privacy, everytime we have guests staying room, the room will close for public, it means visitors can not see inside room. The check in time is after 2 Pm and check out time is before 12 PM.
Should you have any question or request, please feel free to email to us!
Best regards,
Crazy house team
