Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On an excursion from cruise ship. Cruised Ha Long Bay and toured cave area. Spectacular cave with 100 plus steps to entrance of this particular cave. Have heard other caves have 200 plus stairs to entrance of cave. Cave beautifully lit and truly beautiful formations. Most of pathways paved but be aware of uneven surfaces, some missing pavers, and some additional stairs. Highly recommend this tour and Halong bay spectacular.

The cave was amazingly well preserved. The people in my tour was very well behaved and did abide by the rules. We grouped together with others and trekked the whole cave. The view at the TOP was worth the climb. The steps wasn’t particularly steep.

It is nice cave of Halong Bay and it is nice cave of limestone mountains to visit. It takes about 45 minutes for walking. Thank you Vietnam Escape Tours Travel for booking a nice cruise for us. A good company

The formations within the cave are somewhat interesting. But, way too many tourists and the colorful lighting is actually annoying and makes the whole experience even more cheesy. Honestly, skip it.

It was interesting to find out that several of the thousands of limestone islands dotting Halong Bay contained caves. If you're taking a cruise there, your ship will probably stop at this or some other cave. After being on the boat for several hours, it's a treat to walk through this wonderland of rock formations.

It's easy to climb up from sea in order to reach the entrance of the cave. The cave itself is worth to visit. You don't need there any explanations: just let your eyes, mind and imagination work extra hours.

The cave is being sympathetically opened up to the public and current excavation work can be seen. This is more of a show cave for the public rather than of interest to anyone who does cave explorations

This is an extremely popular event, the cue to go up the caves is long and a lot if visitors. There are 753 steps total from start to finish. Because the crowds are many, you step, stop, step and you don't get tired. There are hand rails going up and down the climb and descent. The limestone caves, stalactites and stalagmites are breath taking. Because it is so crowded and busy be careful of other tourist pushing or crowding you on the path. Wear good hiking shoes with good grips. The views of the bay from the top are amazing. The total length of walk takes about 40 minutes.

Hello. My BF and I are visiting Halong Bay at the end of September, can anyone recommend a mid range 2 night 3 day trip? We would like to see as much of the place as possible and ideally not be on an tourist trap boat, so probably slightly smaller (Air con would be fab) What will the weather be like? Thanks!
