Even if it seems to be small and shabby train station, however, it has interesting structure. You can walk to the rail and see the railway bridge across the river.

Old dilapidated building falling apart. Dirty and basically just used by locals when catching a train. Real insight to true Hanoi

There is no reason to visit this as a tourist as the building is ugly and rundown. Mainly used by locals to catch the various train services. You can access the bridge from the train station if you want to walk across.

There's nothing much here. But I stumbled upon it on my walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. Enjoyed the air-con with the locals staring at me wondering what I wanted as I walked through and sat down without buying a ticket from the counter.

Probably more interesting for a train spotter, but was worth seeing on our way to the bridge. We're lucky enough to see a train as well.
