A bit below expectation although entrance fee was reasonable. In the middle ground floor room someone wearing dark silk pants was lying on a bench with the face covered with a fan and the lights were off. I told my Husband it was a wax figure LOL. Knew it wasn't when the figure wriggled the toes. Expected to see more... More

The house costs 10000 dong per adult for entry. The house gives you a perspective of how previous generations of hanoi families lived and worked in these houses. The house has different areas for the shop, bedrooms, kitchen, courtyards and bathroom. The courtyards are open to the weather and you move through the house from indoor area to the outdoor... More

We came across the house by accident and wandered inside out of the hot sun for a look. Inside is a treasure trove of interesting domestic articles and upstairs was a beautiful view back down through the kitchen courtyard which was full of golden light at the time. We stayed for about half an hour before moving back out into... More

Really nice place to go, but 20 minutes is enough to visit. There is nothing special, just a really nice historic house.

Entrance fee 10k. It is a small house with a little shop inside, but the rest of the house is decorated as it was back then. You get a good picture of how they lived.

Went to this place and paid the 10,000 dong in. It is ment to be an ancient house but the first thing you are greeted with is Vietnamese bowl and souvenirs to buy. The house is quite small and not much to see. I would not go out of my way to visit this place but if you were passing... More

There is a nominal charge to enter the house, but it is worth it. What is interesting about my visit was I could draw similarities in the way of life in ancient Indian houses to the one preserved here. Should be on the worth a visit list.

this are one of the few remaining old heritage houses left in hanoi. inside you will some old furniture and well maintained. these houses should be gazette as an heritage and maintained by the government. these are the type of houses people hope to identity as hanoi.

Just down from our hotel, this restored original design house is well worth popping into. Quite small, but all their houses are ( there was a tax on house width). Fascinating items of furniture and the kitchen looks very old
