The water park is located next to an amusement park, and there aren't many obvious signs in English, but the staff there helped us get things figured out. You buy tickets at the same ticket booth. Prices were higher than what I had found mentioned online (160K) but still reasonable for full access to the pools and slides. We had chicken, a slice of stewed pork, rice, and vegetables with a cup of broth for lunch, but they also had bao and hot dogs - but I think we made the better call. There are several very shallow pools with fountains and water slides for younger children, a wave pool (with intermittent waves), a jacuzzi, and a deeper pool with a zip line for "diving". It rained while we were there, but it didn't dampen the day much. The only real hassle was the changing room situation. The changing rooms are shower stalls and there isn't an inch of dry space anywhere to set down your things to get changed in and out dry clothes. The floors were also pretty nasty, so definitely bring shower/swim shoes.

Try Ho Tay on a weekday morning, we did yesterday and had the park to ourselves for the first 90min, we were then joined by another Aussie family...
An easy drive out there and entry is very cheap (115,000 Adults and 75,000 kids) plenty of staff around to point you in the right direction - entrance, toilet, lockers, etc. Each time we moved onto a new ride they would start it up for us and then turn it off when we finished.
There are a bunch of big water slides, a huge wave pool, a lazy river and a few different water play areas for different ages.
A great way to reward the kids for a few hard days of travel.

Ho Tay Waterpark is awesome place for hot summer days. Entry fee was 150 000 VD for adult and 120 000 VD for child. You can also rent a locker for your clothes and bag for 30 000 VD. Not bad prices at all. There are things for everybody. Many slides for adults and older children. Big pool for kids including slides. There is also lazy river and wave pool. This is rather big place. Can't give any opinion about food since we didn't try it but we saw some places that sell food and drinks. We had fun day there and would definitely go again.

We visited this park with 6 of us - husband and myself and four children 13, 12, 10 and 7. We had a really fun day. Heaps of options available from splash pools, moat that you can float around, pools, awesome wave pools, diving board, flying fox and of course lots of crazy water slides of different speeds and challenges. This Park caters for various ages and swimming capabilities and levels of confidence. We had so much fun, it was very well priced and a great family fun day.

Me and my girlfriend had a day to kill before we travelled to ha long bay, after looking around online we opted for Ho Tay Waterpark as it would be a nice escape away from the intense heat.
However on arrival, once changed, literally everyone within the waterpark would stare as we walked around; throughout the wholw day we felt extremely awkward and uncomfortable.
During lunch we found no menus were in English, no staff working within the food units spoke English, no food on the large menu's was available e.g. Pizzs, Hamburger (These were the only products we could actually make out). This resulted in myself having to opt for a chicken kebab and my girlfriend an ice cream, not ideal or acceptable on every level.
To top the whole day off we finally went on a slide with one another leaving both our flip flops and my girlfriends sunglasses at the bottom, next to a life guard. Only to ride down and find that some cretin had stolen them all. The only response from the nearby life guard 'I didn't see anything'. With noone speaking English we ended up leaving straight away shoe-less and extremely angered and upset that a nice relaxing day had turned into hell.
WOULD NOT RECCOMEND.

We didn t have high expectations but with a four year old a week in Hanoi we gave it a try. At least he would enjoy himself.
Surprice! After passing 200 meter of quite deserted area we walked in to a water paradise.
On the plus side:
- 9 BIG slides. Fun for everyone over 110cc.
- Nice kidsarea.
- 500 (?) meter lazy river.
- wawemachine in really big pool.
- + some more water amuesements.
- small kiosks selling small bites like banh my and icecream, quite cheap.
- water is tested several times a day. Lots of lifeguards.
- well planned on big area makes it airy even with alot of people.
- Easy to get to 100K cab from downtown.
- good money value: 120K for adults 100 K for kids.
Yes it could use a new layer of paint and the dressing rooms is not fanct but all the pools and slides are in good condition.
Hire a locker for 30K +50K deposit. Change in a dressing room and store your whole companies stuff in same locker. You can go in and our during the day how many times you like so dont bring anything to the pool except the plastic tube for locker key and ticket.
Sorry quite long and excuse my english, hope it helped someone.

Me and my boyfriend, which is Vietnamese, were there today. It was awful, almost like they had never seen a white person before. Staff and visitors took pictures and videoes of us, plus we had a "stalker" which clearly didn't care when my boyfriend told him to stop in both english and vietnamese. We left after 45 minutes - it was so disgusting, and I didn't feel safe. So if you come in small groups of white people, you have to like a lot of attention and rude people - if you like to visit this place. Futhermore, there wasn't any room for change, except a gross toilet which couldn't lock. I do not recommend this place!

The waterpark costs 160,000 dong each for those above the height requirement and for that cheap price you get access to a lazy river, pool, water slides and a few activities for kids. Make sure to bring some change as the lockers cost 30,000 with a 50,000 deposit. In order to get this back they require you to keep a ticket, non- torn, in a plastic tube necklace that inevitably leaks water into it. If you have your own waterproof case this may be beneifical to bring with you.
Additionally, as this is a very local place many women choose to cover up with clothes over the top of a bikini. I went with my boyfriend (both 21 and from England) and to feel more secure in myself as I have been stared and pointed at in a bikini in Vietnam before, I opted for a t-shirt and shorts over the top, nothing out of the ordinary. However, they refused to let me down the slides unless I removed my clothes, but were quite happy to let the clothed local women go down. On the lazy river I also experienced a local man grabbing my bum and trying to converse with me where the lifeguards, who were fully watching the situation and made eye contact with me after, were not prepared to do anything about it. If you go please be extra cautious of your surroundings. Also be prepared for all squat toilets where in the girls bathroom none of them are able to be locked.
In all it’s a cheap day out to escape the heat of Hanoi, but don’t expect an especially clean place (be careful as the floor has algae patches that are quite slippery). It serves its purpose and you can have a day out there if you find yourself in need of something to do. But if you’re a non-local have your wits about you.

Was told by a grouchy ticket booth staff that the water park was closed. We do not know if it’s closed for the day or closed down. But all the effort to get there... and avoid the land park, looks like a deserted park from a horror movie. Definitely leaves a bad taste.

We went today but the park is closed until next year. The attraction park next to it is open but looks deserted.

is this open in mid to late November? dont want o drive all the way there to be dissapointed

I wouldn’t trust it. We went there twice, on a Monday first and they said sorry were closed Mondays and then a Wednesday and they said were closed for this time of year. It’s seems that they just close when they want, we could never find any information on when they REALLY are open and closed

What about all the cunts attacking women. Is it okay for them sick bastards to do this over there. They are all scum. They all need shoot in the head

Why did you defend the attackers who seriously sexually assaulted women in your park? And why did your spokesperson blame the women for being attacked?

Why is your park unsafe for women and children? I heard the news about the overcrowding incident that occurred on June 19th, 2015. There were 70-80 men in the lazy river area and they hurt, splashed, and ripped off women's bikinis. That does not sound safe for my family and more to the point, I hope those women were compensated for their physical and mental injuries. Why did that happen? Where was your security? Why does it seem that your company does not care for women?
