to describe this as a botanical garden is wrong. It is an urban park with some interesting trees, awful toilets, litter (welcome to Vietnam) a very very sad monkey in a cage and an even sadder peakcock in a cage. Hanoi - free the animals, clean up the litter and the toilets this is 2016 and you are a tourist... More

Nice park. We stumbled across this and it was a nice place to have a sit and watch the world go by. With a lake in the middle, there is a walking track the goes around it.

This is not a botanical garden, it's just a park with a 2000 VND entry fee and there isn't much more to it. They have a caged peacock and a couple of caged monkeys which is completely random. The usual older ladies selling snacks are also dotted around with some just using a large bag to flog their goods. Lots... More

Visited the gardens this afternoon, 2,000VDN entry fee. Not many actual plants/flowers however the lake and trees are quite nice. Also an outdoor gym where you can do body weight exercises. I was not expecting to see peacocks, other birds and monkeys locked in tiny outdoor cages though. I'm completely against the imprisonment of animals for human entertainment. None of... More

Good place to get out the city and chill. Not massive, but quite (no honking horns). Take some food with you or get some at the very Vietnamese cafe in the park.

These gardens are peaceful and beautiful. Don't expect to walk through any humid domes with tropical plants, this is a lovely outdoor park with benches every so often that you can sit on to enjoy the calm and peaceful views.
