They have restored the grounds and placed the objects and utensils used (such as cars, telephones, beds, etc) so that you can see what it would have been like when in use. Its pretty cool to look at, although you cant actually go in. the grounds are beautiful and it is wonderful to walk around.

It's the second time I have visited the buildings and grounds. If I had to describe it in two words; historical and beautiful. The first time the mausoleum of HoChiMinh was closed. Evidently it's closed two days a week and a month or so every year as his body is sent to Russia to be "refreshed". Check ahead for days... More

We just stopped to take some photos I don't think you are allowed in. The building as others have said does have a French influence

The Presidential Palace is closed to the public, but you can visit Ho Chi Minh's house and the stilt house. They offer some insights on Ho Chi Minh's life and how he got the Vietnamese people to follow him. The grounds are beautiful with many trees and flowers. Definitely worth a visit

Visited here as a general area, you cannot go inside so not that much to see. A nice building to look at though build during the French occupation.

It's nice, but you can't go inside. You walk around it during your time spent with a thousand other tourists looking at what the French left in Vietnam.

I would have loved to see the inside. Grounds are interesting but not spectacular but it is probably a must see while in Hanoi.

This place has a few gems if you are into history. They have his older house and his newer house preserved with all his furniture and personal stuff. They also have his cars on display as well which I thought was really cool. It's a quick tour through history, and as another reviewer stated, it is good to have a... More

Headed here for a walk. Nice building and green park with flowers but allowed area was tiny and did not really give value for the money.

A great insight to the struggles of the Vietnam war. The palace is in immaculate condition with lots of information on the war and the struggle. All the artifacts are genuine and very well preserved. A great place to learn some real history. The grounds around the palace are kept beautifully and after the visit it is worth a walk... More
