A great insight into the working / domestic life of Ho Chi Minh. Very interesting to be able to see the modest house where he lived and worked, along with some of his personal belongings. Great sense of history in this location

The building itself is rather grand. I should think VIP's would be impressed. The gardens are beautiful. Lovely views across the lake. The summer house in the grounds built on stilts, very unusual. We visited on a very hot day but there were places to get some shade. A must see place.

Of the six times we have visited Hanoi we have been to Ho Chi Minh's house 3 times. The grounds are lovely, the old cars donated by the former Soviet Union are beautiful, and the simplicity of his house is stunning. Well worth finding it in the larger acreage of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Walkable with a good map... More

This is situated near to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, so it can easily combined with a visit there. The living quarters are also nearby, with windows provided so his office an bedroom can easily be viewed.

Actually there was nothing much to see in the Presidential Palace. As we were not allowed to go into the Palace, 40,000VND per ticket was a bit too much. Inside, there was Ho Chi Minh house and one pond in front of the house.

What a joy escaping from the madness of the streets of Hanoi to President Ho Chi Minh's palace and home. We visited with Hanoi Kids as our guides and they offered plenty of insight into the significance of each part of the palace. Lovely strolling through the beautiful shady gardens . So glad we made time to go there.

Very well kept palace, but you only see the outside, you do visit the two other houses Ho Chi Minh stayed in, the grounds are beautiful and well worth a visit.

Wikipedia should be utilized to understand the history more accurately than portrayed here , with that said this is must see visit to grasp Vietnam's history and mix message Ho Chi Minh put out to Vietnamese population . The preservation of history here is good
