Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the world's longest ceramic tiles mural - some call it mosaic, but imo mosaic is something else.
Nevertheless, the location where it is installed was chosen so unfortunately.
It's by a very busy road - the main city center throughfare which is constantly under heavy traffic.
In that way you cannot see it properly as you have absolutely no desire to walk along that road. Hanoi is one of the most polluted cities in the world, so besides the previous fact, that also contributes to the mural damage, dirt and neglection. We only saw it from taxi several times.

A bit of a shame something this beautiful is not maintained and able to be viewed easily. The traffic is crazy, so you dont dare cross over to check it out. Looks lovely from a distance, just in the wrong sport to be enjoyed.

It's a really long wall(at least a kilometer?) and right beside the huge busy road. It's a bit scary to walk but the mosaic designs are really nice and made well. Unfortunately it has not aged well. But it is still worth a visit, but just once.

The mural is impossibile to appreciate on foot. It is reportedly miles long and is adjacent to a busy road. So hard to approach, and impossible to take it all in!

So, id reccomend looking at the photos online rather than visiting!

We drove by this beautiful mosaic mural on the way to the airport after a short stay in Hanoi. It was little tough at times to take a photo from a moving van but I managed to capture a few good photos. It was colorful and looked like a lot of effort went into the design and construction. The mural contained a number of different themes and landmarks both local and international, like the Merlion from Singapore. There also was quite a bit of advertisement on the mural and personally I don’t know why they allowed it.

I may try to walk along part of it next time since it extends for a couple miles.

The largest mosaic in the world entrances visitors for over 10 years along Au Co, the dyke road wall. Artists from many nations and organizations completed this majestic celebration of Hanoi's 1000 year anniversary under the leadership of artist Thu Thuy, certainly one of the finest public artists in the world.

The mural itself is quite remarkable but the only way to see it on foot is by walking directly in front of it on a narrow path with 4 lanes of non-stop traffic right behind you. If your taxi or bus goes past it then it's nice to look at, but I don't recommend walking there.

The mural is 4 miles long and holds the Guinness World Record for longest ceramic mural (2010). We were only able to view it on our way to the airport as we were leaving Vietnam after two weeks. Wish I could have visited it in person!
