One of the best places to buy local handmade items coming from all over the country and quite reasonably priced. No way to bargain, but the price/quality ratio is very high, without getting ripped-off. Part of profits go back to local communities, helping a lot of people to make a living out of it. There are two shops almost next... More

This is probably the best place I would suggest to do some shopping in Hanoi. It is a no profit organization whose scope is to allow the local craftsman from remote regions be known all over the world. The quality of the products is definitely higher than those you can find in other places in Hanoi, keepint at the same... More

The shop offers a good variety of textiles and other products. I was not interested in silk but in cotton and especially hemp. The prices are very reasonable if not inexpensive. I was surprised that they offered their products at discount prices. Many items cost as much as junk in the market shops. Handbag lovers better bring empty suitcases. Husbands... More

I was excited to find a place in Hanoi that had some interesting locally made pieces. I did not find Craft Link to unique or particularly well stocked. Generally I try to find something useful for my home when I travel so I can have a small reminder of my trip in my day-to-day life, but I was disappointed to... More

If you are looking for authentic craft direct from and supporting Vietnam's diverse ethnic communities this is the (2) shops for you. Visit the art museum, the temple of literature, eat at Koto or Be Be Mieu and it is a day to remember.

Made a quick stop at the textile store to pick up some gifts for friends/family. They have a great selection of silk scarves, small woven bags and key chains, and some beautiful embroidered pillow shams, table runners and larger textiles for wall decorations I think. Overall the selection is different than what I saw in a lot of other shops... More

Right next to Van Mieu (Temple of literature) this store sells sustainable and handmade products, mainly beautiful scarfs and cloths made of soft cotton or silk that are sold at a reasonable and fair price. The NPO works with people from the countryside, also training and educating them so the money for your perfect souvenir really matters here.

These are 2 shops, across the street from one another, that have the best, most interesting, and the most gratifying handicrafts in Ha Noi. While the selection by no means includes everything that is available in the city, the products are well made and are accompanied by brochures from the respective tribe-makers.There are all kinds of crafts at, really, ridiculously,... Well made, high quality Vietnamese handicraft products in their 2 stores (which are nearby each other and right in front of the Temple of Literature, so very easy to find). These are not products from state owned factories, but rather come from the original handicraft producers. This is a non profit organization which helps marginalized/poor communities not only market their... More

This small shop over two floors is stuffed with tempting items to buy.mall of these are made by craftspeople in remote or rural areas of the country. There are leaflets with information on the people, and the craft. There were huge numbers of bags, scarves and toys, with smaller items such as notebooks, key rings and cards. A few doors... More
