We booked directly on the Oasis Cruise website where we were prompted to pick a date and put down a $90 deposit for a 2D1N party cruise. 3 days later we received a notification that there were no cruises on the chosen date despite their site allowing us to select and pay deposit. We were offered a day cruise as an alternative and the customer service team was very proactive in contacting us and trying to get us to book a different date although none of the replacements fit our plans. We then asked for a refund and suddenly, the previously very attentive customer service team stopped answering our emails. We have sent 2 follow up emails regarding this payment we made in JUNE and we still haven't heard anything back. We are very disappointed in the service and support from this company and could see no reason to ever book with them direct, if at all. There are a large number of cruise lines operating in this area and we found a great alternative with excellent customer service.

The boat was a pleasant place to be for two nights, our room was nice. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We were served with plenty of food, the standard of the food was good. The 3 day trip had a good balance of activities and free time, and there was plenty of opportunity to soclialise and meet other people.

The room was great and we enjoyed having a balcony--this seemed somewhat unique from all the other boats we saw. Food was plentiful and excellent. We were glad we did the two night trip versus the one as we got to see the much less trafficked Bai Tu Long Bay.

Everyone must take this cruise! We had the best time Au Co cruise around Halong Bay. Traveling with 3 children (age 15, 10, and 7) can be difficult, but on arrival our adjoining rooms were already set up. The ship itself is beautiful with dark woods and many places to sit and enjoy the views. It is incredibly clean. Of course cruising through Halong is a magical experience in itself, but I feel that the crew at Au Co really made the event so much better. We were on a cruise with 21 guests and approximately 42 staff. Every single crew member was welcoming, friendly, eager to help, and excited to share their culture and learn about ours. We felt a personal connection and can tell the crew is like a big family. The food was fantastic. Gourmet and with a good use of local ingredients. Seafood galore! It also had a nice variety and I enjoyed every meal, particularly the soups and baguettes. Ruby was particularly awesome. She provided a kid friendly menu and made sure our kids were enjoying every bite. She took the time to learn about the children and their likes and dislikes. She anticipated our needs with grace and kindness. The activities were so much fun. The fishing village was serene. We all enjoyed the farm village visit, but went by motorized cart as our youngest is not bicycle savvy. Kayaking was an exciting experience with not too much difficulty. But by far, our most favorite activity was exploring a cove and beach and swimming in the beautiful water. Every second was picture perfect. I had to make myself put down the camera after a hundred or so photos. One of the crew members (our cove escort... I think it was June and I apologize if I remembered the wrong name) played with our kids, helping find shells in the sand. It was such a great experience. The vibe was mellow and high quality. Au Co should feel proud of their crew, service, and wonderful cruise. I would come back again anytime!

Our tour guide Lala was well-organised and helpful, and even told other locals to not harass us by selling products. She also brought her village friends along during the second day to lend us a helping hand for the more difficult hike, though they did ask us to buy some souvenirs. We tipped them on top of buying pouches from them. The hotel we stayed at was Sapa Panorama Hotel and it was a little dusty because of the construction next to the hotel and many guests walk in with muddy shoes from the trekking. Facilities were fine but rooms were quite dark. Also bring your own toiletries as they provide shower gel only. Nonetheless, the hotel staff service was good. Massage skill varies among the staff. You can choose set meals for lunch and dinner on the first day - the pizza was delicious, while the morning buffet spread on the seconda day was rather limited in variety. One area of improvement is the skill of the bus drivers - the one driving from Hanoi to Sapa was too fast and I felt very nauseous on the way up the mountain, while the one driving back to Hanoi was too slow and kept breaking. Overall, I enjoyed the trekking tour as the rice fields in Sapa are beautiful and the tour guide is good. Do wear trekking shoes as it can get slippery after a rain.
