Monument King Ly Thai To - ( not to be confused with Ly Thai To Statue , which is the other side of the lake ) is a memorial located along Le Thai To Street on the western bank of Ho Hoan Kiem,
In fact, there are 2 monuments in the same place
The King Monument Ly Thai To and Nam Huong communal house which were once separated by a wall. A wall that was destroyed despite the Law on Amending and Supplementing Articles of Cultural Heritage Law "(approved by the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Race XII, 5th Session on June 18, 2009), The Minister of Culture and Information had signed 2 decisions to recognize these 2 relics: Nam Huong communal house classified as Art relics and the Thai memorial monument are historical monuments
The destruction of this wall has been the cause of many problems
According to the Cultural Heritage Law, these two monuments are of national level.

So, if you enter by the lake side, this is the King Monument Ly Thai To .
The statue of the King was built on Hoan Kiem Lake in 1896, under the reign of King Thanh Thai of Nguyen Dynasty. The former district of Bao Thien is located in the old part of Vuong Phu. After the Imperial City of the Trinh lords was burned by Le Chieu Thong, the area became a village along the river. After that, this area belongs to the area of Kiem Ho village, belonging to General Ta Tuc, then changed to Phuc Lam, Tho Xuong district. Before the statue of King The temple was erected, there was a temple worshiping The Law to become a tutelary god. The monarchs were ordained as Upper College gods.

Here it's only a small bronze statue of King Ly Thai To ,made by Hoang Cao Khai when he was in charge of building a statue with a posture to throw a magic sword into the lake. However, King. The statue is small in size so it must be placed on a very high pillar. Behind the statue of King The is Nam Huong communal house, the home of the old Tu Thap village worshiping Linh Lang.

The great statue of King Ly Thai To, the largest pure bronze statue in Vietnam, weight of 34 tons height of 10 meters is located in Ly Thai To Garden, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, on the other side of the lake near the city hall. !

The statue of King Le Thai To is a peaceful and beautiful small monument and tribute to Vietnam’s history. This is a surprisingly quiet place hidden among that chaotic streets of hanoi. This is a quick stop but well worth it to relax and take a few minutes to learn a piece of history. One of the nicest monuments in Hanoi.!

Nice lil historical spot to visit in the midst of walking around Hoan Kiem Lake. King Le Thai To was the founder of Hanoi; once a hero and a king. Place where this monument was set up is peaceful and pretty.

This is a little shrine and a monument, located just next to the lake.
While the area of the shrine is not that big, it makes for a good 5-minute stop while circling the lake.

The statue looms over the square, presenting a regal portrait of a famous man. A walk around the monument and plaza is very pleasant. On the weekends there are vendors and kids playing around it.

Can see this across the lake in Ly Thai To Park lit up at night time.

A nice monument dedicated to a national hero.

There’s also an actual statue of him nearer the other side of the park.
