The city is walkable. Very little English speaking. If you have a photo of place you want to go they can direct you. I bought a Starbucks mug and got a discount on my coffee. Lot of markets along the streets. Street food is very good. Do not be afraid to try it.

A wonderful cute street full of coffee shops and book shops. In a hot noisy city a good place to visit that is still crowded but much calmer and shadier. A good place to buy some local gifts too,

I don't know why this street is listed as an attraction. It's pretty short with many book stalls in the middle and book shops on the side. Vast majority of books is in Vietnamese. There're several coffee shops along it and that's it, we passed it in 5 min.

We visited twice theis place when we were in Hochiminh city as it's so peaceful, and artistic &a place to read relax enjoy coffee as cafes are everywhere. book lovers can spend a whole day there 😍. So whoever coming to Hochiminh should visit Book Street

first visited this book street in 2017, and i revisited HCM in 2023, on 26 Nov,i came here again, as a books lover,i love this street. like before, i bought some children books, cuz my vietnamese level not that high, can read children books only.i love vietnamese children's books, design is nice. many are translated from foreign languages, so i can compare to the original version (eg. English version) .that day i visited, there is a book- signing session, and the writer had a speech to the public. besides books, there is some cafe here,so you can buy a book and have a cup of coffee here, trust me, your coffee would have book’s flavour! besides books, i bought some miniature books as souvenirs and a stamps album of vietnam at a second hand English book shop here. if you are a bookworm like me, even you dont read vietnamese books ( but still some English books sold here), you still can visit here, to feel the charms of books.

C ( 24.03.10 ) It is a street where bookstores are listed under the theme of books, and it is a good place to walk slowly. There are painters who paint portraits and coffee shops, so it is a good distance to look around in a short time. It is also an interesting place because it is specialized in the subject of books.

Love this very pretty hidden gem! Neat concept with 100’s of books and cafés. We went for an iced coffee to take a break from the heat and the traffic as it is pedestrian only. Perfect place to chill out. Would return.

It’s a nice busy buzzing street where you have various book stores and cafés. It’s barely 5 minutes walk from the Saigon postal office. There was a aisi highlands nearby. The book stores have mostly books in Vietnamese language. But u walk around , check out stalks and cafés. There’s a piano too on which you can walk and enjoy. It’s quite well decorated. There are chairs placed where you can sit and read. Small street. No entry ticket

Book street is a sweet idea well executed. No cars or even scooters are allowed down it. There must be 20+ bookshops, most of them selling books in English too. Some stores also have little cafes in them, so you can read while you sip on your coffee! Also a good place to buy journals, postcards, and other little souvenirs. Glad I strolled through here!
