If you are interested in the typewriter Ho Chi Minh was using, this is the place to go. Besides some other communistic relics there is very little on display over the history of the city. One intersting detail: the Dong is still in coins available,...More

Nice to walk around the building and the grounds. Historic building. Has bunker underground which was built during Vietnam war days. This building was where the Japanese signed the surrender after WW2. Some interesting exhibits on HCMC development. Exhibit on Viet currencies. Exhibit of wedding...More

There was something for everyone... modern items, antique displays. Rivals others in other places with similar space, with positive reviews. A site worth the entry.

Located close to the other key places to visit (Palace and War Remnants Museum) so if you have 30 mins for a quick race through - then do. If you are time constrained - don’t go. We had more cultural oversight in the History Museum....More

Dilapidated and dusty huge building with an old style setting. The exhibits consist of photos and weapons. The historic phases and time periods are not clearly divided, the few explanations in English are repetitive and propagandised. There are plenty of spelling and grammar mistakes in...More

This museum is a must visit on a trip to Vietnam. You will virtually feel the war which had taken place between USA & Vietnam. It shows how the innocent Vietnamese people suffered. Also there are displays of abandoned tanks, helicopters of US Army.
