My husband, myself and my son of 25 participated in this fantastic cookery lesson on the morning we were leaving Ho Chi Min. We were collected by bike and had a really interesting tour of the market where we learnt all about Vietnamese ingredients. Then straight back to the cookery school to cook! Was such a great morning, the dishes we had created we then ate and all in all it was an amazing morning. Would definitely recommend. Lovely people at the Cookery School who made the experience very memorable.

Our two grown daughters joined my husband and me for this excursion. We began with a market visit where our guide shared lots of interesting tidbits about local produce, spices, seafood, etc. We had been to the market before on our own, but going with the chef was eye opening - great fun! We then went to the Saigon Culinary Art Center. Throughout the morning we prepared sauces, marinades, artsy veggies, with a bit of chicken frying. The chef explained every step along with tips to vary for personal tastes. Lots of laughs, new friends, usable cooking tips..... And the best part was a delicious lunch that we prepared ourselves! Bring your appetite! I would highly recommend this class to anyone! Definitely one of out trip highlights!

Oh, this was so much fun! My wife and I went on this visit during our cruise stopover and I am so glad we did. We learnt some history of the place, we prepared and cooked a meal and then had the delight of eating our masterpieces.....delicious. We made spring rolls (far easier than I imagined), Morning Glory (a type of river spinach) with pork and prawn, and a caramelised pork dish in a clay pot. There was a vegetarian in the group and they used a veggie alternative so don't miss out if thats your way. All in all a fabulous day and I can't rate it highly enough.
