Me and my Canadian friends have a great time shopping and dealing with the price. Good place to eat lunch also. Whatever the initial price is, always half that and less.

This place is amazing! Definite must see! The food choices is fantastic. Just make sure you bargain for everything. If there are prices on the menu, then it's pretty much fixed. But if there are no prices stated, ask for the price before your sit down and order. Everything, including fruits can be bargained down. Handy tip - if you... More

You need to know how to negotiate, be charming yet firm and smile to make friends of the shopkeepers. If you manage this, you have great buys for you! The products are varied from shoes and clothing, souvenirs, preserved fruits and nuts, coffee and other native delicacies. I also observed some shops selling electronic gadgets. Outside Ben Than are flower... More

I agree with many others that the vendors (esp. the women) can be quite pushy - especially if you go deep into the clothing sections. The reason for this is that there are so many vendors... More

A huge indoor market in the middle of Saigon. You can buy anything from fruit to T shirts and souvenirs. Most things are made in China. Bargaining is a must.

You have to go to see the market if you are here. Quite pushy vendors. Highlight is to go in the morning and don't miss the fruit and vegetables and wet market if you are interested in food.

Plenty to buy but bargaining is a must. The big put off is the constant hassling even when you are just browsing for that item you want.I much preferred the Saigon market where they don't hassle you and still a bargain can be had with a bit of negotiating. Also not as packet or as hot as Ben Thanh.

Good location, in the centre of the city. Many choices of local and hand made products. Good for tourists.

The hawkers are relentless, but a must see. Try your bargaining skills for some decent knock offs. And eat. Eat!!! Eat!!! Eat!!!
