    A lot of history
This is a hidden gem and worth a visit. I’m still getting used to Vietnam and struggling with how intense and busy everything is. It’s a small temple and they fill it. Could do with a guide to explain what was happening.

    A unique sight
As someone who is of the Christian faith, I did not step into the Jade Emperor Pagoda with a mindset of a tourist, but instead as an outsider watching people practice their faith. I did not utter a word as I walked around listening to the chants they had playing. Observing how people pray and offer incense to the different statues inside the building was a unique sight to behold as their practices are foreign to me. Looking at those statues and how their constructed. This place does not allow you to take pictures in the building, and that’s for the better as it could not capture those feelings I had while walking through the building and seeing these events in person. This was the least touristy pagoda I went to throughout my whole trip, and I enjoyed it as it was outside my comfort zone. Though if you are looking to have a fun time, I would look elsewhere. There was a little area outside that was pretty, but my cousin and I were knocking out all the tourist attractions in the day, so I didn’t spend much time there. We probably spent thirty minutes in the pagoda. I do remember having to duck my head to enter some doors as I was too tall (I'm six feet), and being overly cautious while walking up and down the stairs due to how unstable it looked.

    Interesting three religion Pagoda
This pagoda has places to worship Buddha, Confucius and also Tao religion. It was interesting to see the three different areas. There is an area that shows what hell will be like for people who behave badly. It took us about half an hour with our guide to see this site

    Not a tiered building Pagoda
Was ticking off places of visit on our last day and dropped by. Was expecting a tiered building but was fairly surprised of different definition of pagoda in Vietnam. It was a busy single storey temple.

    A Nice Place to Visiting
This pagoda is a mixed of Buddhism and Taoism, and a little bit Confucius. The lead color are red and yellow that show the Chinese culture in that. In front of the pagoda, have many burnt candle lights for us can light on the incense. There are some believe that people come here to pray about their love and their child. I think you should add this place to your spiritual destinations when you visiting Ho Chi Minh city

The Jade Pagoda is worth seeking out while in Saigon- Ho Chi Minh. It's located down a side street, not exactly where I expected it to be, so keep a look out as it's easily missed. We spent about1/2hr there which was enough to see it all. Very peacefull and tranquil, a small but beautiful building and grounds where the smell of incents fills the air. Definately worth visiting.

We went inside this temple as part of a trip from Viking. We could have used more explanation or plaques telling what was what. I recognize the Buddha but not all the other statues. Would have liked to know. Very crowded inside with lots of tourists and local people worshipping. I personally do not think it is respectful for tourists to be taking a bunch of pictures and talking when people are praying. We walked around not knowing what we were looking at and departed to spend the rest of the time in the outdoor area where there was a koi pond.

This is a local worshiping place with sizable number of tourists. Frankly speaking, Jade Emperor Pagoda is quite underwhelming without much to offer. There is nothing impressive and it is at the middle of nowhere. This is also the only place in Ho Chi Minh City where face mask is required. Ca be skipped altogether.

It was unimpressive (as a tourist). There were many people there praying—and I am writing this from the perspective of a tourist seeking a place to visit. The architecture is difficult to see from the outside because it is nestled into an old and crowded neighborhood on a small plot of land. Only a few old paper machete statues were present. The Buddha statues and had blinking LED halos behind them, and the interior architecture was unimpressive. The pagoda is nothing like the calm, beautiful oases that one would find in a Thai Wat.

Absolutely a must visit if you really want a deeper cultural experience. It is intricate and a bit overwhelming, as there are several rooms with numerous meaningful statues. I highly recommended reading about the statues and stories behind them before going, and really taking the time to pay attention to details. This temple has Buddhist and Taoist elements, and it really feels like a special experience to visit as a tourist because it is hidden and you’ll likely be one of few other tourists. It is kind of out of the way, but we found it without a problem.

Without our guide telling us what we were viewing in the various rooms, we would have been clueless. There's much to know about this pagoda and if you don't have a guide, be sure to read up on it before you go. It was very HOT and CROWDED the day we were there so if you can avoid a busy time...DO!

It's away from the centre of District 1 (which is the main tourist area) and therefore does not get as many tourists. This is a pity because you visit so many temples/pagodas during a Vietnam holiday and almost all of them are no longer used by the public. This one was bustling with public and I sat and watch a non-stop stream of people coming and praying. What I found so refreshing was the number of "young people" who attended. Good to know that in some cultures it is still important. The oddest thing about it was some of the grounds was used a motorcycle parking. At least it generates income for the place. Don't focus on the building.

the best, and maybe the only pagoda that is really worth it in Saigon 👻, I sacrificed 6 hours of my time and went around 6 of them according to the list 🙈 but I don't want to give any negative feedback, especially negative ones, so that everyone can make their own opinion. i was mostly surprised of the (hopefully) original wooden statues, and large catfish in the pond in front of the temple entrance. I would have given it 5*, but it was the only place in the whole city where they wanted me to get a mask 👀 ... so have it ready too.

We thought it was a Buddhist shrine but apparently it is a mixture of Chinese and Vietnamese beliefs. It is in a funny little side street and you are required to wear masks which are provided free of charge. The building and contents are a slightly bizarre mixture of ancient and modern with fabulous carvings alongside air conditioning units. Never be allowed by the National Trust. Well worth a visit.
