Perfect place to visit if you are going to the War Remnants museum afterwards. The zoo and the museum covers all the atrocities of mankind in one day. My heart shattered when we visited the zoo and saw how poorly they cared for these animals....More

We only went here because the museum was closed for lunch. We were appalled and disgusted. The animals all live in tiny cages without grass/sand. Just concrete floors. They sway and pace constantly which is a sign they are distressed. How they can live with...More

Animals where aggressive and hungry. You could tell they where bored and mistreated. Constant swaying and pacing around the cages shows they animals are in distress and bored. No one should support this zoo. They need to be shut down. Absolutely disgusting. Cages where filthy,...More

This zoo is dirty, and the animals are not living in a good environment. I’m horrified by how the lions are treated!

We did see reviews before coming into this complex. (And tbf the History Museum on the left as you come through the gates is wonderful!) OK, the zoo is verging on being cruel to all of its animals - small, concrete enclosures for big cats...More

We went as we wanted to see the botanical gardens and thought they were seperate (we had been warned the zoo itself was, 'not good') - they aren't and we ended up visiting the zoo. Most of the enclosures are either just bare earth, or...More

I would not visit the zoo but I was the guest of a seven year old girl and her grandmother and that is what zoos are really for. I have seen some horrible zoos in Asia, I must admit this one did seem to provide...More

Stopped off here as it was on my todo list for my last day in HCMC. I was very disappointed to the standard which some anaimals were kept at - noticeably the monkeys. They were caged up and kept in limited space. I left early...More

Do not visit this place. Although some of the gardens are very interesting and lovely to walk through, they are intermittent with the animal enclosures. The animals look depressed and stressed and pace up and down and rock themselves. Their enclosures are way too small...More

This place was OK to visit, but the enclosures for the animals were not great. Some were poor. Some animals were over crowded. It was a little depressing.

Yes, it absolutely does. It is hugely distressing for all the animals as the booming noise can be heard throughout the zoo. The elephants are the nearest enclosure and they are forced to endure not only the unbelievably loud... More

Poor animals, noisy bbq and karaoke trials and disrespectfull visitors are all sources of disturbance for animals. It is not a place deserving to pay for visiting (rewarding wrong behaviour).
