Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This statue is one of the attractions of the Ho Cho Minh Square. Surrounding it are beautifful flowering gardens, fountain, The Dragon Sculpture, and 2 signages with the name of the city.

Note that the Square is located across from the imposing City Hall. Highly recommended to visit, good backgrounds for selfies.

Ho Chi Minh was President and leader of Vietnam from 1945-69 and to whom the City is named after so no visit to Ho Chi Minh City would be complete without a photo opportunity with the great backdrop of the French Chateau

Excellent photo op by City Hall. Other than that, you can sit around and take a break or window shop around the (expensive) stores around the square.

Located in front of the french colonial built structure (now city hall), stands this proud bronze statue of President Ho, who was the leader of Democratic Republic of Vietnam from 1945-1969, as well as the founder and leader of the Vietnamese communist party of Vietnam, the area is very popular with locals and tourists especially at night when the adjacent streets a blocked off.

The square is incredibly beautiful throughout the day. Even better, there is a night market for food and beverages on weekends when the streets surrounding the area are blocked off. People simply hang out and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Passed the statue on way to some mega shopping across the road.

Good photo op on a very pleasant park. Not at all crowded if you visit in the evening.

I will say the plaza that is near this statue is a great place to relax and chill. As for this statue, I get he was a significant figure in the history of Vietnam. But I was hoping for a little more there.

Well its a must if you are here, its his city after all...…..nice area of the town, pretty busy though with traffic and the like (where isn't in this mad city!)
Nice statue with the beautiful Ho Chi Minh City Hall behind him, makes for a nice setting.
Worth a gander.

Worth a stop off in the late afternoon for your holiday snap with Uncle Ho. It’s not the best place but ya gotta do it.
