Interesting place with beautiful surroundings. Can get busy. Overlooks the Perfume River, it’s 7 story’s high built in 1601 and is an iconic Hue backdrop and a symbol of the ancient city. Short visit for taking photos.

The beautiful pagoda and temples behind it are incredibly designed and well maintained. We took beautiful pictures here. Please be mindful of the rules in place regarding dress code of covering knees and shoulders. There were misbehaved kids playing on the gongs which was disrupting.

The Buddhist monks do a wonderful job of maintaining the Pagoda and surrounding gardens. The collection of bonsai trees were amazing

Certainly another good place to enjoy while in Hue. Steps are steep but it’s a small enough grounds that everyone should check it out.

The pagoda is quite pretty, the area around is very very beautiful and the view absolutely stunning. We walked from the city center (around 90 mins) and took a cab back into town directly to the citadelle (7 mins, 60 000 dong). Must do!!

We took a boat ride on the Perfume river to reach the Thien Mu Pagoda. We visited it more for it's historical significance including the self immolation of it's chief monk in protest against the Dinh Diem regime. The pagoda is otherwise quite simply built...More
