I really fall in love with this river. It a huge river but runs very slow. And I feel like the Perfume river can be seen everywhere in Hue ^^

The Perfume River traverses its way across the flood plains around Hue. It is spectacular and at certain times of the year the perfume from lemon grass can be smelt along the riverbanks. A visitor to Hue will see it and the colourful dragon boats...More

It was good to just float along the river and absorb great sculptures and garden views. A lot of history to take in and in the past they could smell beautiful different fragrances along the river.

Quite a spectacular river with interesting gardens and sculptures alongside, making for pleasant early morning or evening walks. The downside was to see it being used as a rubbish tip by the tourist boat operators.

A few crossings of the river in a day including a short boat trip. Lots of history and even saw a couple of swimmers out in the middle of the river.

After a tiring tour of the citadel and tombs it was bliss to enjoy a very good relaxing lunch of several courses which included the best fried fish in sauce that I’ve had in Vietnam. The ship had very good quality local items for sale...More

We organised the trip with our homestay for a private boat and a private car after. The boat was super loud (we had to shout to have a conversation), and we were hassled by the woman asking us to buy something. Eventually she got annoyed...More

Beautiful river, with lovely walk ways next to it on both sides. Near the citadel is a market next to the river. Great photo opportunities.

Hi there - I didn't do the cooking experience so I can't help you I'm afraid - I did notice on all tours and courses that costs vary wildly depending on whether you book it yourself or if you go through a hotel. Have fun! Ben
