Imagine a cooking class and you’ll be heading in the right direction of the experience Anh gives. This is more than a cooking class, it’s a cultural experience mixed with food that explodes your taste buds. The visit to the market, with its fresh fish caught that morning, vibrant fruit and vegetables and aromas of lemon grass and herbs really punch those senses. Anh is a great teacher whose expertise, experience and passion for great Vietnamese food and customer satisfaction is second to none. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone, by far the best food on our tour of Vietnam, an authentic culinary adventure.

Simply great. First, we visited the DongBa Market with Ahn to buy the ingredients for cooking. Anh is happy to explain things (in very good English), so we learned a lot about daily life and culture. The course itself is very suitable for beginners and advanced students. Ahn explains everything in detail and tells us a lot about himself, his family and the country. The dishes cooked were all very tasty.
It's not just a cooking course, but a journey into life in Vietnam with lots of information and the nicest guide/chef we could imagine. Thank you very much Ahn!

My sister and I booked a vegetarian cooking class with Anh in Hue. We started the day with shopping at the market and then we prepared 4 dishes. We had a very good time and the food was amazing! We learned a lot and we got to take the recipes home, we will definitely try to cook some of the dishes.
I can only recommend booking a class with Anh!!

My wife and I booked a private cooking lesson at the last moment with Anh and it was one of the greatest things we did in Hue.
Anh is a very kind, happy, friendly and accommodating person.
Email communication was very good and before we knew it everything was set; we were picked up from our hotel on the arranged morning and headed to the markets for ingredients buying and gathering. After about 30 minutes or so of being in a market and being guided through it (instead of the usual "where am I, what am I doing, what is that???" that we had previously done in markets) we were then taken to his house for the cooking.
It was a very clean and professional area and allowed for a comfortable area to do the cooking. We made mince meat from scratch; to which I was happy at one point to be relieved of chopping duties - I'm not as good as I thought I would be.
The explanations and guidance that went into the lesson was very thorough and helpful; Anh even sends you emails of the recipes later so there's no furious scribbling while you're trying to pay attention. We will be trying these meals now that we are back home. I would definitely recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Hue.

Thanks to Anh and his sister, we had a fantastic experience in Hue! Anh picked us up on time to go to the market, where he expertly made his way through the different stalls. Then we went to his house and he and his sister patiently showed us how to make traditional Vietnamese dishes. Both he and his sister are incredibly kind-hearted and generous - we can't thank them enough for this one-of-a-kind experience!

My wife and I took a cooking class by Chef Ahn yesterday afternoon. Both of us enjoyed the visit to Dong Ba Market and learning how to cook Vietnamese. Ahn is patient, friendly and very helpful in showing us how Vietnamese cooking combine sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavors.
Not only did we learned much from Ahn, we got to enjoy an abundant dinner with milk fruit later. Milk fruit is very hard to get even in season, but Ahn got some and share that with us.

We have attended other cooking classes in other areas of Vietnam and also other countries and each one is different. Anh picked us up at our hotel to go to the market where we asked questions about various fruits and vegetables there. He then took us to his home which also has a cooking studio and we started preparation on our three selected dishes. We did some hands on cutting and chopping with anh doing a lot of the work. The clay pot dish we had pre selected takes a lot of prep and time. We also had a bbq dish which was wonderful and of course spring rolls. As we spent more time with Anh he opened up to us about his life and family and living in Hue. We were there from start to finish , including a stop to get salt coffee , for Around five hours since he did not have a class after us. For the price and quality of the food , we would recommend this class for sure.

We had a great time with Anh who speaks very well english and his cooking lesson we enjoyed very much. The visit to the market for shopping the ingredients was a special experience and we took a lot of photos. Back at his place we helped him to prepare the dishes following his instructions. Everything tasted delicious and we are happy tp gp back home and try his recepices with our friends!!
