Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This attractive, 300 sq metre historic house is built on large grounds with a modern swimming pool at the back. Mr Hai Thai engaged an architect to design this house in the 1920s when he move our here to establish a coconut farm. Over the years is has been used by the family, abandoned, used as a school and again abandoned before being renovated as a tourist site by Yasaka Saigon Nha Trang Hotel in Nha Trang. The house consists of five large rooms, several small bedrooms, and a spacious veranhdah. Outbuildings are for storage and kitchen with a wood fired oven.

The swimming pool behind the house is large and well maintained. Next to it is a wooden Tay minority house, transported from the former Ha Tay Province near Hanoi and re-erected here. Other large wooden houses are used for dining areas for guests. Light meals, cold drinks and coffee are available, but a small open-sided restaurant one kilometre north serves much tastier food. The staff are friendly and polite, but speak no English.

The whole complex is under-utilised and rarely visited, even by local Vietnamese, so expect a very quiet time when you visit. I regularly take visitors here and they enjoy the experience, especially the swimming pool.

Entrance fee is now 30,000 dong. Accommodation is available at 500,000 dong a night, but I do not recommend staying as the rooms are overpriced, musty and damp.

There is now FREE entry to look around the property. Pool use is 30,000 d per person, and 30,000 d per person if you bring your own picnic food and drink. An extensive menu in Vietnamese only is now available at reasonable prices. A village festival is held here once a year, but I don't know when.

The pool is very suitable for children, as it is only 80cm metre deep at one end and 1.4m deep at the other.

The turn off to the house is sign posted about one km south of the Suoi Tien post office on the road to Suoi Cat.

The right address is Nhà Cổ ÔNG HAI THÁI, Diên Khánh District, Khanh Hoa Province. We drove there because it looked really interesting. Internet said it would be 30.000 But 200.000 VND to see a historic building is a bit much.

My wife and i take regular trips into the country side
We came across this beautiful location just by chance about 30 minutes out of Nha Trang
I can believe more people dont visit here and they arent making a big deal about such a beautiful place.
If you have time i suggest you hop on a scooter and get out of the city.
Many things to see,eat and enjoy!!!
