Very small, & we were told by locals that it's the oldest in the city. Some interesting scratchings on the outside walls, such as 3 crosses together.

Next to the more modern church, the old Katoghike church is located on a street corner lined with trees. It gives a very serene feeling. Many Kashkars towards the back of the square. Not to be missed

This is one of the main churches in Central Yerevan and one of the easiest to find and visit. The smaller original church (Holy Mother of God) from the XIII century has somehow survived through the centuries of wars, earthquakes, redevelopments and is very atmospheric...More

The relevant part of Yerevan isn't especially big, and given that this church is more or less in the centre it's not especially difficult to visit. The church itself is tiny and very interesting - apparently it's the only one in Yerevan to survive several...More

The city's oldest surviving Catholic church features 13th-century cross-stones with inscriptions. It is nice to visit such heritage landmarkslike Katoghike Church

the Katoghike Holy Mother of God Church in the kentron District of Yerevan. It is the nearest church from my Hostel, just a few steps away and you will be able to wander a small medieval church. The Church was built in 1264 and it...More

I really loved this small church! It's too small but it has an amazing design. You can enter and light a candle if you like. The walls and ceiling is too old (900 years) but very well kept. The church is located in the northern...More

Probably the smalles, but also the oldest surviving church in Yerevan. Since it is located not too far from the Opera House, it will be on one of your ways through the city. Stop by and take a look.

You can visit there as a usual place. It's a tourist attraction for people. If you haven't seen there, you don't miss anything special.
