Having been to this market two separate years and having loved it, I was surprised to learn that it didn't have a TripAdvisor entry. I suspect it's because many local Armenians (and visiting Armenians) view this type of old-school food market as a thing of...More

This review is quite late. The Gumi Shuka is a local market located a few blocks away from the Republic Square. Lots of fresh vegetables, dried fruits, and foodstuffs are available.

This does not take too long to walk round but it is worth walking up each aisle, then going up the central steps to take in the size and amount of flat breads stretching out in front of you. Never seen anything quite like it!

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Yerevan. Good variety of local Armenian foods and everyone is very nice and hands out enough samples to stuff you!

It's a small local Bazar. You can buy fruits and vegetables and nuts and etc. You can find local sweets but most of them are not originally from Armenia some of them are from Iran and Georgia but you can enjoy the environment.
