Carpets are indeed a cornerstone of the Azeri culture, and this museum captures much of that in a very interesting building. It is comfortable and has enough of the history and artifacts to be worth the time, especially if you appreciate folk arts.

Good place to stroll through, especially to see a traditional carpet bring woven - so intricate yet done so skilfully. Don't miss the wall maps and info on the different regions.

This is an amazing museum with a very comprehensive display and explanation of the differences in the styles of carpets. There are weavers displaying their art on the first floor and it makes one appreciate the art even more.
