Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park is very beautiful very clean and well designed. It is very popular with the locals and visitors like. The person who designed this park is genius I just love the tile work, it is very tasteful. There are many benches around and figurines or statues that are very beautiful also. This park is just off Nisani Street and it's perfect for children adults and everyone who just wants to relax in a clean safe environment.

Whilst we were in central Baku we visited Fountain Square which is an attractive public space with a huge array of fountains in different styles and arrangements. The square was initially constructed during Soviet times and was previously called Parapet. The whole area was buzzing with people when we visited as the square is surrounded by restaurants and shops making it a popular place to visit. It is one of the many attractions that Baku has to offer.

This is the place to meet the locals. It is such a lively place mainly on weekend when dozens of thousands are strolling around and in the nearby pedestrian street. The locals are nice, polite, hospitable and easy going. The fountains are nice as well but for me the human side was more impressive,

The city is very beautiful and alive. If you like walking like us, it is better to visit it on foot, you will enjoy it much more. Very clean and you can eat well with little. Go to Boriani. The only tour that I recommend is the one of the volcanoes and various others around Baku. It lasts one day and you see everything there is to see. Have a good trip

A large square with fountains, but in March they are not open yet. There are a large number of cafes, restaurants, and shops around the square. Park area with benches. Children attractions. Urban sculptures. A large fair with various goodies. There are many visitors in the evening.

Baku: I worked there for two summers in 1998 and 2000. It was a safe place. Fountain Sq was a very theatrical place to have a beer. A lot of Azeri women in revealing clothing were walking about looking for a western guy, any western guy to befriend them. One note of caution: I found on more than one occasion while sitting with groups of westerners when we came to pay the bill, we were also billed for Azeris who sat with us and drank beer. It was very hard to get the Azeris to pay up. It appeared they expected us to pay even if we weren't friends or anything. I got a bit tired of being taken for granted. I never had as many women's eyes on me as I had in Baku. I think they saw me as some kind of walking passport out of there for them. I didn't find it flattering at all.
I wouldn't say there was a whole lot to do there but perhaps it's changed a bit since then. There was the Caspian of course, the beaches but the weather was sticky. Getting out to the Caucasus area meant taking a driver. Taking a driver who was polite, interested and good company was another challenge!

The square is the heart of the pedestrian part of the town, with lots of new expensive western designer shops dotted among the older Azeri markets and small boutiques. The locals throng the square at weekends as a popular venue is now on the corner of the square, Mc Donalds has set up shop in Baku and was doing a roaring trade with the young hip crowd. There are restaurants and eating places for every budget within a few hundred meters of the main square and bars and clubs too.
It is a safe area to walk around with the proviso of any new place keep to the main streets and don't draw attention to yourself.
I would recomend Baku for a short break in the summer months when the weather is much better. The nearby Beach area has fun fair rides and a pleasant walk. Hotels range from very high quality to budget accomodation but personally I would steer clear of the low cost rooms. Baku is a city that is developing all the time some expect lots of traffic and construction activity.

Знаю, что хвалят " Флейм Тауэр", хорошие маленькие отели в старом городе , а конкретно около площади фонтанов не знаю и думаю там шумно.
