...as it is clearly one of the highlights of the city. Historic site, nicely renovated in some parts. Always keep in mind, that many things are currently changing in Baku and tourism is just beginning to develop, so do not expect too much.

Awesome for a half day walk. A lot to see. Equally beautiful at night and in the morning. Maiden's Tower and Shirvanshah (both located inside the old city) is a must see

It's really amazing how Baku protected and preserved its past through maintaining the same spirit throughout the old city all sights I visited gave me deep look at this country heritage and past. I visited Survanshah palace where their dynasty lived long live it's truly different experience, specially at night the lights project very glamorous views of those buildings.

Baku was divided into two sections: Ichari Shahar and Bayir Shahar. The Inner City was the main part. Those who lived in the Inner City were considered natives of Baku. They were in close proximity to everything: the bazaar, craftsmen's workshops and mosques. There was even a church there, as well as a military barracks built during the Russian occupation.... More

It is clean and not too many cars around. I did not see any stray dogs. There are very many wellkept buildings to look at. There are quite a few small cafes and shops to visit in between visits to Maiden Tower and other sights.

You need to feel the atmosphere of ancient time within old city walls. Within old city you will see few old monuments.

Yes, it is a little bit Disney style, because it looks clean and like newly made. It is, of course, renovated, but to the tourists' advantage. It is pkeasant to walk around, visit a palace or another important monument. There are s number of littke shops. Don't forget to negotiate to get a good bargain.

Baku is located in heart of Caspian sea with a beautiful view. Night in Baku like a dramatic story. We went to Targhovi. There was a museum called the Museum of Literature.
