This is the biggest Mosque in the Caucasus. A little far from the Center of Baku, the effort is merited. Especially splendid is the night sight seen.

I feel privileged to have seen this mosque up close and photograph it. It is quite a sight to behold. I never entered inside it, but felt it was worth going there to take pictures of it.

To go to mosque from Baku old town, a taxi will suffice. When he drops you at the mosque, don't let him go. Ask him to wait for you to take you back. You will need maximum 30 minutes to fully see the mosque... More
