Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Near Boyukshor Lake, stands the awesome "Baku Olympic Stadium"! It was built specially for the 2015 European Games, meeting all the international standards for modern sports complexes. Also known as "Baku National Stadium", it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the mentioned European Games, as well as the athletics competitions. It has a seating capacity for 68,000 spectators and 3,100 parking places. From the outside, it looks absolutely awesome - a real landmark of world sports architecture! And in the evenings, when the scenic lights are on, it becomes really unmissable! Enjoy!

Visited the stadium for the Champions League game with Chelsea. The stadium offers unobstructed views of the pitch but distances are an issue due to the running track. The stadium operators managed the event in a relaxed and courtiers manner which is refreshing for a European football match.
The stadium can be readily accessed from the Koroglu Metro Station. From the metro there is a dedicated stadium pathway that allows the edge of the stadium to be reached within 5 to 10 mins. Using the Metro is the best option as the roads around the stadium are very busy. Do not go by taxi as they rip you off.

What do dictators appreciate most is extravagant arenas. This dictatorship of the Caucasus loves grand scale projects. This stadium is mockery for sports palace. They have spent lots of money on building this ego project, but they have not taught their rude security guards and manners. The police officers that are prowling around are bunch of thugs in uniform trying to make money by making up bogus claims so they can give you a bogus fine that you have to directly pay them. Joke of a country, don't visit the place.

I had been a wonderful resort during the opening and closing ceremonies of the First European Olympic Games. Transportation is very convenient from/to there. Versatile and suitable a modern building for use in it.
I think that is an important prestigiously element of Azerbaijan.

We had visited the stadium from outside only as part of our city tour. The building looks amazing and the lighting effect also makes it quite attractive. Overall, a nice place.

During the Final between Chelsea and Arsenal, I expected the stadium to have stepped up to the demands and expectations of the thousands of supporters attending the game. I was so disappointed in the management and organisation of the event. The queuing systems, seating, ticket sales etc. were all terrible and unacceptable. The bar staff could not cope with the number of customers they had to serve, meaning that most fans couldn't even buy water! What a disappointing experience and an embarrassment to this amazing country. That's what all the travelling fans will remember, unfortunately.

security at this stadium was very strong indeed and gaining access took up some time however it was well worth it, the stadium is impressive inside as it is outside lit up at night, lots of outlets and restrooms and the view of the pitch was good from most seats.

Is Koroglu Metro station open later after matches at the Olympic Stadium? I have read the Metro system normally closes at midnight. Are there queues to get on the trains after matches?

By metro 20 minutes + 20 minutes walking from metro station to the stadium.
By taxi, car, bus it will be around one hour, because of the traffic.
Walking can take you 2-4 hours, depending on your speed.
