Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is not a training center. It’s not a museum. It’s a shop.
Car parking free.
At least you don’t need to take shoes off.
But you can’t take pictures.
Next door there’s a restaurant which was closed during the day.
No cafe.
There are no arts and crafts that you would want to buy.

I had a chance under a very heavy rain to go there to buy some handicrafts . This arts training center is located in Bandar Seri Begawan near water village but a little far from my hotel ( Centrepoint).

In my opinion , the items were of high quality but very expensive and not with a much variety.

You should know that the Brunei dollar is pegged on Singapore Dollar.

However , you can find some items including dagger , traditional clothes , hats ....

I was keen to purchase an interesting, high quality souvenir from Brunei. I thought this would be just the place, and at the same time contributing to the training of a new generation of Brunei youth in handicrafts. Unfortunately, after a thirty minute stroll to this place, all you will find is to half empty display rooms, one for silver crafts, another for textiles. Everything was behind glass, and there was not one salesperson present. As with most places of interest in Brunei, this is a total disappointment.

This location boasts many exclusive arts and crafts by locals that you will not find in other locations within Brunei. It was not crowded and worth a visit if you want to buy a unique gift.

The souvenir stores were divided up into different sections by types of work (e.g. silversmith, wood) with some display workshop areas (where almost none of them had artisans when I visited). Unfortunately, the souvenir there tend to be low quality and over-priced. I am sure there are more creative Brunei artists out there, but the items on sale here simply didn't do justice to the talent of the local artists. The exhibit place was rather grand, but the overall feeling was rather sad and depressed.

It is just a nice place to hang around for a while. Variety of hand crafts like silver smith, batik were displayed and can observe some demonstration if are lucky enough. The items sold there were quite expensive.

Not very impressive - like an airport gift shop, but with much less variety.

Very expensive products, not representative of local handcrafts at all.

Great to see the local crafts which are also for sale but the display/goods for sale are not that extensive. Some have said they are relatively expensive, but I can't comment on that
