Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well preserved resting place for the most important (fifth) sultan of Brunei. Near to the original settlement of sultan with archeological excavations at different places from 1950s to the most recent ones. Lovely place, in particular for history and archeology fans. From there, you can walk to maritime and technology museum just in 10-15 minutes via small jungle.

It is a very interesting place to visit. Rich in cultural heritage. It is right beside the Archaeological Park. It comes before the parking area of the park but you can cross over through the pathways. The place is quiet and solemn. It is also nature-oriented.

If you are visiting the Maritime and Technology museum, it is worth to walk or drive a couple of km, otherwise there is no point to go the mausoleum only. It was a golden time for Brunei during the reign of Sultan Bolkiah (1485-1524), therefore it is most probably nicely decorated. There are also archeological sites close to the mausoleum.

I was walking towards the maritime museum from the capital of Bandar beri begawan and I just happened to see this mausoleum and 2 others for other sultans. There's a lot to learn about him there. All these mausoleums contain people who have been dead for hundreds of years. Quite amazing

We actually ended up there coming from Maritime Museum side - place is just brilliant to walk around, if very small - whole round is approx 1h. Paved walkways, but not very much changed forest, even small mangroves - and no person around.
The mausoleum is very beautiful and creates eerie impression - especially with last magnolias in flowers
