The whole palace complex is like an oasis in the middle of the city. The buildings are beautiful, I love the style of the architecture and the overlapping "dragon scale" tiles. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty to see, even a wander around the Silver Pagoda provided plenty of beautiful artefacts. Having a guide definitely helped put things... More

It really is a money grab! Maybe better to hire a guide as the palace itself does not give an interactive experience

Our two daughters were 6 and 5 and so they were free. That's good because the $10 price tag is a bit high for what you get to see. We hired a tour guide for another $10 which was good as we got to ask questions. The ticket includes the silver pagoda (or emerald pagoda as the Cambodians call it).... More

If you're in the area then definitely go have a look. At the very least drive past as it's quite beautiful. It's nothing compared to the Thailand Royal Palace though. If you have never been to a palace then it is definitely a must see. Only parts are open to tourists.

We'll worth the visit, skipped through the first section until we got to buildings you could enter. True relics from the past and a celebration of Cambodian heritage. Could have done with more small plaques to explain what was on show without paying US $10 for a guide.

Honestly, out of all the tourist destinations we went to in Phnom Penh... this was by far our least favorite. The cost of entry at the time of writing was 10$ per head... that's almost as much as S21 and the killing fields combined. The palace is one of the least impressive to be seen in Asia, and you're unable... More

If you have been to Bangkok safe the 10$ entrance fee. It's huge and impressive but to expensive, in my own opinion. Basically if you saw one building you got the idea, there is not much Variation.

There is lots to see here, and we found this Palace much more spacious and easy to navigate than similar sites in nearby countries. Make sure you cover your shoulders and knees though, or they'll make you go back and buy some rather unattractive pants/top to make sure you fit the criteria! (Learned through experience). We were happy just looking... More

This palace is even more ostentatious than the temples and palaces I have seen in Bangkok. The silver floor is not visible, but my guide guaranteed it was there, under the fine carpets. The opulence of this place is amazing.
