A must in Phnom Penh. Get your tickets and guide at the entrance and enjoy! Don't forget to check out the book store and its limited editions on Cambodian customs and the statues at the museum. Plan for 1 1/2 hours and don't forget to feed the fish!

Our visit was very interesting and our guide showed us lots of beautiful things. It was a shame that the chateau part was covered in plastic and scaffolding as I think that would be a great contrast. I do think the palace is crying out for a good curator. The exhibits are poorly laid out and signed and so much... More

Beautiful and good to walk around. Great photo opportunities. Spent a long time visiting and wandering around the various buildings and grounds. Lots of history here.

Was a good experience. Tour guides are out front and are worth it to understand the history. Dont forget to make sure your knees and shoulders are covered or you get the buy some really unattractive pants/shirt for a couple dollars at the gate.

We hired a live guide at the entrance for $10 which was well worth it as the guides give you a human aspect to the cultural story. Our guide lost his father in Pol Pots regime. The Palace is very nicely kept having mostly been built of wood in the late 19thC. Take your time to look around the lovely... More

Nice place to visit. However, if you have visited the Royal Place in Bangkok, you are in for a disappointment.

There is a lot to see at the Kings Palace complex including temples, the huge silver pagoda, various impressive stupas. We spent around an hour going around - it was very busy with tourists but impressive and well worth visiting. There is a dress code as shoulders and knees must be covered.

We were quite disappointed with the Royal Palace. The gardens are beautiful, but the palace itself a little boring... There is a beautiful mural though. One thing to note is that you HAVE to cover your shoulders with a t-shirt or similar. A shawl is not sufficient as my friend discovered. There is a solution though - buy one for... More

It's a very interesting place loaded with Cambodian history and culture as well as unique architecture. They have beautiful murals that wrap the inside perimeter of the palaces but unfortunately the government doesn't have the money to keep pace with it's deterioration. It's an absolute must see.

Although the access to some of the buildings is restricted, it is still an important site to visit. The gardens and outside views are wonderful.
